We stayed in the Louis Imperial Hotel for 2 weeks in the middle of September.
As far as the weather is concerned it was lovely in fact I would say that in months such as July & August it might be a bit too hot.
Your hotel room is spacious but basic like you would expect for Greece, it is cleaned everyday to the highest of standard's even you floor is moped. And the hotel in general was also very clean.
As far as day trips go, the shipwreck is a must, and the lazy day cruise is a MUSN'T every single seat on the boat was taken and we were packed in like sardines, it was not in the slightest bit enjoyable.
As for the entertainment do not spend your time sat at the Imperial get your self up to the palazzo which is the top hotel of the 3. The entertainment there is much better and English based. Also you are able to get your free drinks there if you are A/I.
The lift to the beach is ace, you don't have to walk more than a few steps and your there. The man that takes you down in the lift is really nice so have a chat with him.
I read alot of comments saying it was a far walk and alot of steps to the beach, the people who put that are the people who were getting the wrong lift, lol.
I wouldn't go back to this hotel but that's because I would never go to the same place twice. There is nothing to really do which we loved so don't go there expecting a mad holiday.
One last thing we weren't told when we booked that Zante was very common for earthquakes (tremors) we soon woke up in the middle of the night when the whole room was shaking and there was a noise that I could not describe. We had 4 tremors in 2 weeks and there were all beyond scary. So be warned as otherwise you wounder what is going on.
All in all it's an A++ holiday

A beautiful hotel set in the cliffs. There are three hotels in one and we were able to use the facilities in all the hotels.
Our room was under the swimming pool with a side view of the sea.
Reception was friendly and happy to help you.
The children had a ball with the benefit of three swimming pools including water slides and the beach. There is a courtesy bus which takes you in to Argassi and Zante town.
There were two sets of animation teams the which were in the imperial beach and palazzo. The entertainment could have been improved but yet the children thought that it was really good. We enjoyed the Pop Idol competition ran by the German animation where my son and two young boys from Preston danced to YMCA.
Lots of different nationalities at the hotel. We met some really friendly people. A lovely relaxing holiday.

A two-week holiday which straddled the peak and low season and, as we entered the second week, the changes became very apparent. What had been very good food became acceptable. Where there had been a wide selection, the choice became restrictive.
Although, when booking, we were offered dining at the other "same chain" hotels in the complex when we came to make a booking they were always full. (This despite less than 30% ocupancy in our hotel in the second week.)
Entering the low season also impacted on the service; from 10 plus waiting staff in the dining room it dropped to 3 or 4 with a resultant impact on clearing of tables etc.
Having been lead to believe that we could obtain drinking water from the dining room for use in the bedrooms at night we were firmly told that if we wanted drinking water in our rooms then we would have to buy it from the on-site shop.
The all inclusive element of the deal was brilliant for our two boys (20 and 18 years.)and the quality of the produce was excellent. (Especially the Lowenbrau beer!!)
The views are lovely but trips about the complex are for the moderatly nimble given the large number of steps. (Although there are lifts they always seemed to unavailable; I suspect that they were switched off after 1200 hours.)
The hotel staff were friendly, cheerful and competent and actually appeared to be enjoying what they were doing. The entertainment team were enthusiastic without being pushy and overpowering although why the music level at the pool has to be so high remains a mystery.
The hotel has a large water slide which has the potential be be great fun. I say potential because unless you were only about 10 stones you could not decend by gravity but were obliged to propel yourself by vigorous arm movements to the pool below. What should have been fun became an arm wrenching experience. When I asked why this was I was told that the pump could not raise enough water to the top of the slide! Great!

Generally had a good holiday and the hotel itself was of a reasonably high standard. The things to be aware of,are as follows: Bear in mind that the 3 hotels in this resort are all that are there and as it All-inclusive this is fine during the day.
At night though you are trapped (unless of course you hire a car or taxi) and once the entertainment finishes at approx midnight thats your lot and off you go to bed.Argassi is approx 5 miles away with the usual fake kronenbourg at very high prices and the ubigitous Karaoke and television screens.
The hotels are built into the sides of a hill so there is a lot of steps between hotels. There is a lift during the day down to the beach otherwise it is again a lot of steps.
It is probably best to eat in the Palazzio hotel especially outside it is a nice surrounding with the fountains and the food was slightly better. The buffet lunch at the beach bar was quite good and it is shaded from the sun.
If you have been to all inclusives before you will know what the entertainment is like, not brilliant but not exactly bad either, A couple of the entertainers tried really hard and were good fun.
Finally if you ever wondered where wasps go to for their holidays be assured it is to this hotel, there was absolutely millions of them especially in the restaurant and on the terrace.

Just got back from a two week stay and couldn't have enjoyed it more.
The hotel, along eith the Royal Palace & Palazzio are built into a cliff face with lift access direct to the beach. The Hotel has a large pool with a waterslide and the use of the pools at the other two hotels.
The rooms are what you would expect from Greece but having said that they are clean and are ideal for the amount of time you spend in them.
The food is plentiful and of a good veriety, the breakfasts were wonderful. Evening meals are repeated on a two week rota so we had a different meal every night. The drinks were great.... you do NOT have to pay for the water(as stated on other reports) if you want it bottled you do but if you bring the bottle back it can be refilled F.O.C
The entertinement team were great, especially Geri, Carli & Dani.
Our 5 year old son didn't want to come home..... I think that says it all.

We went all inclusive to this hotel and it was excellent value for money. The food was very good, it is buffet style, we found it hot and fresh every meal. The breakfast is as tastey if you go at 10am as it is at 8am (Which is handy when you sleep late like us!) The lager is good and the cocktails are great, the staff do not hold back they give FULL measures!
Drinks are available from a variety of different bars and you can use the bars at the other two louis hotels on the site.
The hotel is clean.... no complains.
The staff are friendly (with the exception of the mini market!)
The location is good, nice beach (we saw turtles hatch!) You dont need to leave the complex or spend a penny (euro!) There is a coach service to Zante town and a car hire service at the hotel too.
The pools are great, you have access to three. Plus there is a water slide which is great for kids and BIG kids!
All we heard from other guests was good comments. We will use the Louis chain again!

Had a lovely stay at the Louis Imperial Beach Hotel. The views from the hotel are beautiful, rooms clean and well kept, food very good, staff extremely helpful, entertainment - run by a young animation team who worked very hard to entertain a vast array of ages and nationalities.
If you can't enjoy yourself and relax at this hotel, you can't relax anywhere! Only complaint, lots and lots of steps, fine for us, but not recommended for pushchairs/wheelchairs. But it was worth it for the view down to the beach. Recommend the all inclusive option as drinks were pricey.
We would go back again, but we like to try lots of other places so perhaps not yet. The airport is a total nightmare unfortunately, overcrowded, hot and disorganised.
