We arrived at HK airport and went to the Pen desk as I'd arranged a Rolls Royce transfer. We were immediately escorted to the car, which was air-conditioned and offered a chilled bottle of water. Upon arrival at the hotel our own personal check-in clerk met us and the process was very quick. She also noted that we'd be leaving at 9pm on the day of the departure and told us we could use the changing facilities in the spa to shower and freshen up, which was a nice touch. Our floor attendant showed us to our room and explained how everything worked - including the remote controlled curtains! The luggage was delivered promptly followed closely by a welcoming pot of Chinese tea, which was delicious.
We stayed in a deluxe courtyard room on the third floor. As you enter there is a large foyer with wardrobe, storage space including safe and a dressing table. Leading off it is a separate loo & washroom and the bathroom with large deep bath, separate shower, TV and robes. All the toiletries are Moulton Brown.
The double doors off the foyer lead through to the living area with a 2-seater sofa, coffee table (with a huge bowl of fruit that is replaced each day) and 2 chairs at one end and a simply huge bed at the other. The bed is very comfortable and on each bedside cabinet there are individual controls for air con, TV, radio etc. There is a large plasma screen TV that can be angled either way in the middle, along with a DVD player. One of the channels displays all the titles and you just ring housekeeping for any DVD to be brought to your room upon request. There's a mini bar and desk area with local information, free Internet access and your personal fax machine, through which they'll send you any messages. You are provided with slippers and two kinds of robe
