We got dropped off at the back of the hotel as it is on a very busy street. Checking in was very quick no problems at all, the staff are very friendly and speak a few languages. I had emailed ahead and asked for a room on the street side as I like to see what is going on! But if you don't like noise I suggest you request a quieter room on the other side. We got the lift up to room which was fine as it was around 7pm however this can be a bit of a mare on a morning as only has 2 lifts and everyone wants to use them so can be a bit of a wait at times we found used the stairs on occasions.
You get 2 keys (cards) the room is very nicely furnished and laid out the windows open as doors but no balcony just a glass partition. Bed is firm but not too bad plenty of pillows to choose from. No tea or coffee facilities so we took our own kettle etc, there is a place for it, above the mini bar (which we did not use).
Bathroom is usual hotel bathroom but I did find the drawers under the sink unit handy. Shower was at a bit of a strange angle as when you put it on full it shot across to the wall in front and got the towels wet so best to put on half at first! Plenty of space for your clothes to hang up and shelves. Safe is free and is electronic you put in your own personal number. Electricity works by putting key in wall by the door. TV has news channels only in English. Free Wi-Fi which I found worked fine. Breakfast was very plentiful the usual cereal, bread, buns, cheese, hams, pastries, smokey bacon, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, yogurts the list is endless. Plates were taken away very quickly and food replenished once ran out. On our last day things were a bit slower however this was down to a number of young people who had overflowed their plates!!
The hotel is very central to everything and we found a few short cuts after a day or so, we also used the hop on hop off bus to get around for the 3 full days we were there. There is a tax that you have to pay which is 4% about 5.30 euros on approx £170 we paid for 4 nights, if this helps.
