Ivons is set back from Arambol beach behind the Palm Tree groves. It's about ten, fifteen minutes stroll along the beach to the main restaurants and shops.
A nice quiet setting with basic rooms on three floors looking out over a lovely family compound with pigs, cockrels, etc etc.
The family who run this place are so charming. We stayed nine nights (350 ruppees a night) and found it to be a safe and pleasant base.
The rooms are basic but each has its own balony and ensuite toilet/shower. The beds are very hard! Well worth getting your taxi to drop you here on spec; it is next to God's Gift Guesthouse which also looked very nice so you should get a room at one of them.
Attracts mainly long stayers from Europe.
