Very god hotel especially " The Samui" suite which is their best. Excellent staff and yummy food, however would never return to Goa as we found it just so filthy dirty !

We have been visiting Goa for the last 12 years and passed the Cavala many times, commenting how attractive it was. This year we booked direct and were not disappointed.
The best way to describe the hotel is a boutique hotel. Large well lit rooms, beautifully furnished with comfortable little finishing touches.
Our room was on the ground floor and consisted of a Large living room with a 3 piece whicker suite, coffee table, fridge and TV. Bedroom with twin Beds and whicker easy chairs. Large wardrobe. The Shower/toilet was massive. Hot water was allways available even soaps and shampoos were supplied. Definately a cut above any other 2 star hotel we have stayed at before.
The views from our own little private garden at the back of the room (complete with whicker easy chairs) was over the paddy fields towards the Riverside. Spent many a happy hour in the mornings watching the local bird life and many a happy hour in the evening supping the Honeybee.
The room was cleaned imaculately every day and linen changed alternate days. Security boxes are included in the room rate and are situated in reception.
Breakfast is served in the room or in the Bar/Restaraunt and consisted of Fruit,Cereal, cooked eggs, Toast and Marmalade and fresh filter coffee (Wonderfull) An Indian Breakfast is also available at no Extra. Bacon, Sausages etc could be had for a few ruppees extra.
Just opposite the hotel is Banana Republic, the hotel's pool and snack bar. The pool is very clean and their are plenty of Hammocks and sunbeds. The snack bar does the best Club Sandwich that I've eaten anywhere.
Access to the Beach is a 5 min stroll down the road to Baga or 4 min down a lane opposite to some quieter beach shacks.
We do not usually eat in the hotel at night, but the Cavalas food was Brilliant. Great Local curry's and international food. Entertainment was laid on twice a week in the form of Live bands and allways attracted a large crowd, again the entertainment is a cut above the normal 'Crooner' groups that are laid on at other hotels.
As elsewhere the staff are fabulous and can't do enough for you.
We were made to feel like guests and not just customers. Just cannot understand why it is still rated at just 2 stars.
I am only happy to write this review now that our next 2 holidays are booked and confirmed at the Cavala.
