Second visit to this hotel. It is actually a timeshare resort, therefore the standard is excellent for Goa, however we are not timeshare owners, but have managed to find a company to rent unused owners weeks through.
Cleaners are constantly working and are very thorough, even offering a turn down service for the bed every early evening.
Excellent food choices, Indian and Mexican and all very good standard, though a lot pricier than outside bars and restaurants obviously. Room service is also available.
The rooms are very well equipped with a kitchen area, dining area, lounge with satellite tv etc. All quite modernised for India.
Didn't visit any of the entertainment though it was available, such as magician, singers, snake show etc and even BINGO!!!!
Staff are second to none and will bend over backwards, Such lovely friendly people, even right down to the security men who are there to meet and greet on the gate.
The hotel is situated on a very steep hill, so do try and request a lower level room, anything from 40 to 63 is one of the rooms situated right up the slope!!!
The Royal Goan is very pricey in comparison to the majority of accommodation on offer in Goa, however the staff and cleanliness is ideal to put your mind at rest if it is your first visit to Goa.
