Although we were staying in Calangute (Castle House Hotel), see separate review, we had booked to stay in Benaulim for two nights at this hotel.
We got a taxi for 800 Rs/- at 9am and were in Benaulim before 11 am.
The Hotel was a pleasant surprise, as the rooms are very spacious and well furnished and decorated.
We did have to ask for some insect spray and for staff to come and have a sweep under and behind the bed, but I think the room had been empty for a while and they hadn't bothered to check it properly before we arrived.
The hotel restaurant is lovely. It is run separately by an English guy, Paul, who could not have been nicer. It was he who I had contacted re the booking originally, as he deals with e-mail bookings.Really helpful. The breakfast menu was a cut above the usual Goa fare- porridge, fresh fruit salad, toast, juice and tea/coffee ( this was the 'Healthy Option'), you could also choose another set full breakfast. This was served in the lovely outside section of the restaurant next to the Hotel pool.
