Most hotel rooms have been revamped in the last two years; the ones we have stayed in, in the last two years have been to UK standard, comfortable and clean.
The swimming area is nice and clean.
The restaurant is nice, clean and the food is good, although a little expensive, on certain days they have some entertainment which is always enjoyable and busy with tourists,
There is a new spa there but we did not go to it.

We found the Sunkissed to be an excellent hotel.Situated right in the heart of the lunacy that is Calangute but set in a quiet lane and no noise problems.
The staffs attitude is first class and they really do try their best to do anything they can to help you.All the rooms at the back of the hotel overlook the back of other hotels and you are more or less certainly going to be offered one of these first.
We asked for a different room and were immediately shown to one overlooking the pool.
One thing shines out from this hotel is how clean it is kept. Our room was immaculately kept at all times and the stairs were cleaned several times a day.In fact they never stopped cleaning the public areas.
A couple of tips to help anyone considering this hotel.Safety deposit boxes. The receptionist tried to charge me 50 rupees a day. After I laughed and told her she must be joking it soon came down to 25 a day including padlock.Silly thing is if I had brought my own padlock and just left it till a bit later I could have just walked into the room where the lockers are and picked an empty one.Noboby would have been any the wiser. If you decide to do this you take the chance of paying at the end of the holiday if spotted. If you tell them you want it at the beginning then no more than 25 rupees.
Mini bar.The room boy will offer to fill the fridge for you at the start of your stay.Just tell him what you want and he will put it in the fridge.Every day he will top up what you use and he likes to be paid daily.I did not understand this and he was getting into a right state at the end of the holiday.I realised he must be personally responsible for what is used. You only pay for what you use and at the end of your stay he empties the fridge.Good system and inexpensive unlike some hotels.O.K. maybe a few rupees more than outside the hotel but nothing to stop you putting your own stuff in the fridge.
If you are with Thomson you get a book of breakfast vouchers.I did not even look and put it down to indians like of paper. However if you look at the back it entitles you to more than the standard breakfast.Fruit juice eggs any style and a few other items which I urge you not to bother with.Sausages, beans and things called chicken bacon and chicken ham. Please save yourself from these things.
The hotel is very popular with Indian guests and they seem to like loud music at Breakfast.Quite a few Russians there but they do not mix with anyone and during the whole two weeks each"Good Morning"I offered was met by the Indians with a polite smile and nod and by the Russians with a blank face and total silence.
One word of caution. The bar prices seemed to fluctuate from night to night so keep an eye on your bill.
Overall I would highly reccomend this hotel and would return in a shot.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay in the Sunkissed resort, but our holiday was tainted by the time we left.
We were itially placed in room 811 however this was quite disappointing, so we asked to be moved. Staff was very helpful and was told we could move rooms that day - we were put into 721 over the looking the pool, which was a vast improvement. The room was much brighter, larger, beds more comfortable (slated base, not boards) and had a modern bathroom.
The pool area and hotel grounds were well maintained and situated a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of Calangute.
During our stay we came across a few abnormalities. In the evening we would go out for meal and double lock our room door, but when we returned it wouldn't be double locked. We then had a look around our room and everything appeared to be as it was (nothing moved or topped up, towels etc). This happened a few times, so we informed the hotel management, who seemed to think it was an impossible for someone to be going in. Once we had brought this up it didn't happen again.
On our last night when it came to packing up it came apparent that someone had been coming in to have a look around and taking things as a brand new bottle of Dior perfume and makeup had been stolen. We also opted to hire a safety deposit box for 50 rupees a night, but when we took out our belongings a credit card was missing! We had it out with the hotel management who was extremely uninterested and was adamant that it was impossible that his staff had been going in our room or safety box. Not even an apology was given, we were furious! If we had noticed earlier we would have called the police, but as it was our last night hours before we was being picked up to go home we just wanted to get out and get home. When we was leaving we got speaking to another couple we found that the same thing had been happening to them. When they would come back from a night out they would return with draws left open and lights left on.
We would never go back to this hotel due to the untrusting staff and the blas

This is the second time we have been to Calangute but the first time to the Sunkissed. We were worried becasue we couldn't find any reviews but it was fantastic. We had 2 apartment style rooms on the poolside, my partner, daughter and myself in one and my son and his friend in the other. The rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh bed linen and towels were given. The fridge was restocked daily and wasn't all overpriced at all. Everyone at the hotel were very kind and friendly. There wasn't a lot of choice for breakfast but we liked the toast! We didn't eat any meals in the hotel only because there are too many other places to eat. We would definately stay at this hotel again. It was well situated with the Colonia Braganzia next door. We made the right choice of hotel. The pool was very big compared to a lot of hotels and got the sun all day, so you could sunbathe on one side of it. There are security lockers in a room off the reception and we bought our own extra padlock, and the cost for the locker was
