This is Candolim's newest hotel. It is in the 4 star category. The hotel is set back beach sdie from the main Candolim road in the area where the Elephant Shop is located.
There 3 types of rooms, the vast being of a normal 4/5 star standard (AC, Cable/Sat TV, DVD, Mini Bar, Free Wifi, Room service etc). Some rooms are built in the original old Portuguese Buildings surrounding a beautiful water feature. The main new buildings surround a lovely shaped swimming pool with a very safe fenced off area for infants. There is a swim up bar, sun beds and lots of towels provided.
The quality of the food is excellent, breakfast is a huge feast. What ever your appetite is, you won't be disappointed. A good range is provided for lunch (Indian, Goan, Chinese and European choices). These meals are taken in the "Cafe" which has an air con area and alfresco. The main evening Restaurant, provides dinning that exceeds the most of the Holiday Truth Goan Forum favorites. The bar is also alfresco.
The standards set compare easily with the Goan Taj Hotels, exceptional polite, helpful staff that are well presented which makes for a lovely relaxing base. The gardens are well looked after with lovely flowers and palms. Cleanliness is excellent. The hotel is not too big and really benefits from its location being near the beach or in the heart of Candolim.
Recommended if you like a bit of luxury.
