Our first trip to Goa, and an excellent choice of location!. The accomodation was basic by european standards, but adequate. Food in the main restaurant was excellent, plenty of choice.
The snack bar wasn't our favourite - very limited choice and nowhere near the quality of the main restaurant - I would suggest you use the main restaurant where possible. The staff work extremely hard to make your holiday special, and are warm and friendly.
The entertainment ranged from bollywood dancers, to Kung Fu, or disco, the entertainment ends at 11pm every night which seemed a little early sometimes, having said that you could go outside of the complex. Alchohol was free flowing if you wanted it, gin & tonic was fine, the wine not to my palate - more like a cross between cooking sherry and port, but on the all inclusive basis you could have any of the local drinks, so there should be something for everyone.
We would be more than happy to book The Dona Sylvia again.

The Hotel is classed as a 3 star, but the service is definitely 5 star.
The buffet food selection was excellent, ranging from traditional Goan dishes to steak and chips. There was something for everyone.
The staff in the Hotel couldn't be better.
The Hotel has an excellent location 100 yards from the beach.
There was some form of entertainment every night, from Bollywood Dancers to 5 piece bands to Karaoke.

The best food was in the main Restaurant. The cleanliness was very good, the location excellent as this holiday was for a very much earned rest. The hotel staff, could not ask for better, nothing was too much for them, there was a Gheko one evening in the room that we stayed in and two staff came and cleared the room.
Entertainment, was a little repetitive. Stayed in Goa over Christmas and the atmosphere was wonderful.

we decided to try south goa for a change from the north.the hotels well situated to the beach with its own private footpath leading to the beach.the hotel is very clean, the rooms were always kept clean ,with towels and linen etc....the food was ok,if you dont like spicy food you may struggle a little bit, having said that they did do some non spicy foods.i stayed there 2 weeks and not once was there chips on the menu (which was a change)you can have chips, but you go to the snack area for those.the beer was not very good, tasted like water, but i certainly would not let that put anyone off going there.naturally comparing it to the north where i normally go,it was a lot more quiter,a little more livlier in the north.but i would go back.the night time entertainment was karaoke which im not too fussed on,i thought it was for the older people.

Very clean hotel, basic but adequate rooms. On the beach, which is lovely, no one really bothers you.
Staff in the hotel are wonderful, cant do enough for you. Hotel gift shop very expensive, venture out of the hotel across the road, loads of shops really good prices. There are some fantastic restaurant there too, we had paid for all inclusive but the chinese restaurant across the way was amazingly cheap and the quality was as if we were in England. Evening entertainment was local live bands, fire eaters, goan dancers, we found it really enjoyable. The drinks at the hotel were decent quality also, the beer was fine, so were the soft drinks. we would definately go again.good value for money.
