Siolim House

5 out of 5 from 1 review
Siolim-Assagao Road, Siolim, Bardez, Siolim, Goa 403517, India
A beautifully restored 300 year old Portuguese era manor house that once belonged to a governor of Macau, Siolim House is now a unique boutique "Heritage" Hotel in Goa, very unlike a Goa hotel.

We read great things about this place and decided to stay here on Valentines Day. A 350 year old Indo-Portugese villa, this place has an abundance of period touches.

We were in the Macassar room which was huge – from the size of the bedroom and bathroom to the 4 poster bed (especially the quality of the linen on the bed!), we were truly spoilt.

The evening meal was superb, I asked if instead of the main meal listed on the evening menu, we could be cooked Chicken Cafreal and the chef did us proud, it was excellent.

If you want a day to kick back in luxury and tranquillity, go and treat yourself.
