We stayed at the Golden Sands Beach resort in Kovalam, Kerala, for 2 weeks. The rooms were basic but that was all we needed. They were clean, had comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms. There is a well kept, mature garden.
Cannot fault the staff at all. They were all courteous and helpful, always with a smile on their faces. We arrived at 3am and there were six of them there ready and waiting for us and to carry our luggage.
We ate in the restaurant several nights and the food was very good.
We were sorry to leave and hope to return there soon

Porters carry your bags from the drop off point, on their heads, to and from the hotel.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room was adequate. We elected to pay an additional

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and were made very welcome by the hotel staff.
The rooms are spacious and very clean with a view of the small pool area.
A bit of a walk through the dark alley ways to reach the beach front were most of the evening entertainment is situated
Evening entertainment is centred around the restraunts which is low key with most closing just around 11.00pm.
Be prepared to drink your kinkfisher beer from a large coffee mug!

This is a basic 2* Hotel (1* british standard)it is located amongst the Palm trees and is only accessible dowm pathways which are narrow and dark at night and sloping sharply in places- so may not be suitable to those with walking dificulties- dont worry your luggage is carried to the hotel by porters who effortly lift it onto their heads and run off at great speed!
The rooms are large and clean, there is a large wet room and balcony. Each room has a ceiling fan and a few have air-con, the twin beds are rock hard-true Indian style! There are no mosquito screens and you have to pay about
