We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights (me and my brother) we had a twin room.
The hotel was exceptionally clean through out, our room had crisp white sheets on the bed. the room was a reasonable size with an ensuite bathroom which was again very clean and in very good order. The decor was good as well it looked fairly new as well.
The food was good, we only ever had breakfast there, I've read in other reviews on the web that people think the breakfast is expensive, it is 10 euro per person but I need to point out that it is eat as much as you want, this includes bacon, eggs (how you want them) sausages, beans, hash browns etc, also different cereals, fruits, yoghurt's, pastries.
Basically you can get alot if you want and 10 euro is good value, we didn't need to eat until the evening as we were so stuffed from breakfast!
Location is about 4 Min's from the centre of town it is on a hill, though this mean lovely views across the city from your room.
Staff were good and helpful when needed to be, they weren't always smiling, more efficient than friendly, although the bar staff were more cheery.
The bar was great and has live music on the weekends.
I would definitely stay here again this hotel was way better then the Stansted Hilton we stayed in the night before.

Me and my friends visited Ireland for a girls long weekend. We stayed in the hotel before, last year and the hotel still had a very high standard.
The rooms were lovely really clean, beautiful fresh linen and a very clean room. We were blown away by the high standard of the room. It really was well equipped and lovely. Also there was great big windows which you could open and let in fresh air. We had smoking rooms which was good too, because of the smoking ban.
The staff were pretty rubbish though, they were some what efficient, but they really looked like they worked in a morgue !!! Weren't very helpful, didn't smile much and were NOT friendly at all I'm afraid.!! With one exception. The bar manager was lovely and he was very friendly, but no one else was.
The food was okish but the service was extremely slow and you were kept waiting for ages for your food. I would however recommend the full English breakfast its help your self to as much as you like and it was really scrummy !!
The facility's were not bad. A lovely swimming pool not much else though.
The hotel has a very old history. It was once a hospital and in the reception area they were selling a book which someone had written about this. Worth buying to read very interesting.
The hotel is situated in the centre of Cork so its very accessible. Its about a 20 min taxi ride from cork airport. which should cost you about 15 euros. I would stay there again if just for the comfortable lovely rooms and crisp sheets !!
