Hotel Mimosa is in a great position about 50 yards from the promenade leading into the town of Limone, it's up a gently sloping street going out of the town.
The rooms are of a decent size and have traditional Italian furniture and all rooms have a balcony or terrace with both Lake and Mountain views, the upper of the floors having the best of the views. Although they lacked air conditioning or even a fan which would have come in very useful in the extremly hot week that we had there, a fan could be hired from behind the reception at 2 euros a night.
Maid service was daily and the bedding and towels were changed everyday whilst we were down at breakfast.
The hotel food was excellent although it had a extremely limited choice which had to be ordered the night before on a menu left at your table each evening, so if you changed your mind it was hard lines. The food was all Organic and grown by the hotel and was fresh.
The staff in the hotel were very friendly and always willing to help with any questions that you had about getting around the resort or further afield using the local buses or the very good ferry services which ran to all areas of the lake.
We did not see or hear any entertainment in the hotel, although we did spend every evening in the small town enjoying the local cafe culture and the cooling air from the lake edge.
We would stay at this hotel again mainly for the ideal position that it had near the beach and town.
