On booking in to the hotel we at once asked for a different room as the one allocated was very disappointing. This was refused on the grounds that the hotel was full which proved to be untrue as the couple in an adjacent room were moved next day. Our room was in the attic, smelt strongly of smoke, no shades on the lights. The promised lake view was achieved by looking over the parapet through the roof,if next door deceided to do the samethere was a clear view into each others room. After two days we were begrudingly moved to a much better room of the quality one expected from a four star hotel.
The lounge area is very small next to the bar and only the early diners were able to get a seat. The food menu is the same for the whole week.
A hotel in a great location which could be a great place to visit if the management were to be more helpful and courteous.
