Good clean hotel in a decent location, ten minutes walk to Piazzo Tasso. Staff very friendly and the evening meals were fab, 4 choices for starter and main course, would go back for the food alone. Gala night was fun. Try the spag bol in the snack bar at the pool at lunch time, yum!! On a busy main road but dont hear the noise when the doors are closed. Fridge is free and 10euros a week for the safe. One downpoint is you have to vacate your room by 10am, anywhere else is always noon. Would go back again.

We have just returned from a week staying in this hotel. When we first arrived we were a bit concerned that it was on a main, busy road, but this was the road that led to all the shops, bars and piazza's so it was very handy.
We booked late so we were given 2 rooms which overlooked the road side, but once the doors were closed we could hardly hear the traffic noises. The hotel itself was beautiful, very clean, fresh towels every day, cleaners were very efficient.
The restaurant was on the 5th floor, with fantastic panoramic views of Vesuvius and the bay of Naples. The breakfast was usually continental style, but some days there was eggs, sausages, bacon etc, always fresh fruit, yogurts, bread, pastries. The dinner was lovely, always a 3 course meal, but it is very European cuisine, so if you want burgers and chips don't eat here. The waiters are very helpful and most speak a little English, watch out for Franco, he's the clown.
The pool was very large and never busy, this could be because it is 5 euros to hire a sunbed, but in the week we stayed there we never paid for any sunbeds. There are blue deck chairs which are free of charge(very comfy). There is also a jacuzzi near the pool (but cold water).
Lots of shops and a must is about 15 minutes walk to the drains, which are small narrow alleys with market stall type shops, this is the old part of Sorrento.
We have been to many different countries for hols but I think this one to Sorrento is my favourite, we went with our 2 teenage sons 15, 13, and they really enjoyed it, but be aware that there isn't any entertainment around the pool or in the evenings. We visited Pompeii and climbed mount Vesuvius, it is a fantastic experience but do bring walking shoes. We would definitely go to this hotel again. Brilliant!!

I can't wait to do this holiday again. I don't know if it was the hotel, the breathtaking scenery, the friendly but lively atmosphere of Sorrento or spending evenings on our balcony with an unbelievable view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, all I know is that it was probably the most memorable holiday I've had.
The hotel is spotless and the staff some of the most professional and friendly I've come across, particularly in the restaurant.
There is some noise from the busy main road the hotel is situated on but it adds to the bustling cosmopolitanism of the place. Besides, after days visiting Amalfi, Capri, Pompeii, Rome, Vesuvius etc. We were too knackered to be put off by a bit of traffic noise.

The hotel, at the time wasn't bad but the food was to say the least bland, we ended up eating out after the first two nights(a good decision on our part) no jacuzzi as advertised, we had to pay for sunbeds and towels, NOT advertised. I would use the hotel again as a base as Sorrento is fantastic and definately want to return there.
First Choice Rep not really much help, spent a lot of time promoting Bars, Clubs and Restaurants he was obviously getting "favours" from.

We arrived at the hotel and were given our room keys which were for a room with frosted windows and no view whatsoever. The shower room was dark with only a single light over the sink. We then complained and were told Hotels in Italy did n't all have balconys but we were n't told this on booking. We were shown two more rooms on the ground floor, the first, had no natural light as the 'balcony' was within a brick wall!! The next room was as dark and smelt of damp!! Another couple were not happy with their room and were being moved to another hotek but as they were with friends we offered to go instead. They moved four more times. They had a noisy room on the main road, the room had no double glazing, then onto a room onm the roof which was not in use anymore and had an unused pool and old chairs all around! The Hotel room are shaby and all the four stars are in the reception area!

The first room in which we were placed had tarpaulin attached to the unfinished balcony and work taking place early in the morning just outside our window. The air con didn't work, there was no fridge or mini-bar as advertised in the brochure, no pool-side jacuzzi as advertised and they wanted to charge us 5 Euros a day each for a sunbed by the pool. No where near a 4 star hotel, more like a 2 star so is vastly overpriced. If you did want a fridge or safe you had to pay extra for those too.
We moved rooms after a week and were placed in a room without double glazing and the door to the balcony didn't fit it's frame properly so we were subjected to the constant noise of the traffic from the very busy main road. Totally unacceptable accommodation and we received very little assistance from our 'rep' who basically told us that 'you get what you pay for'.

We got a great deal through the internet and the travel company turned out to be First Choice. It was in April last year and we thought that it was fantastic. Maybe it's different in the summer but we loved it.
Breakfast was a lot more than just continental with fresh fruit, eggs/bacon, cereals, yogurts etc all eaten in a lovely dining room overlooking the Bay of Naples. We only chose bed and breakfast because we wanted to eat out, after all we were in Italy!!
Our room was at the front but once the doors were closed, we could not hear any noise. In fact, I loved watching whole families go up and down on one scooter per family (with their shopping).
I thought that the hotel was in a great location and the staff were friendly enough especially the waiters.
Unfortunately, the weather we experienced was 'the worst for fifty years', but that just gives us an excuse to go back.
