This hotel was the worst ever faulty towers with Manuel thrown in. The owner used to follow you around to see you didnt get too many coffees at breakfast he was a nightmare! The food was a disgrace.
Our room was directly above the entrance, no tv, no air conditioning tiny bath and very noisy, when we asked if it was possible to change I was told "Hotel Full - No"
The towels sorry should I say table cloths were only changed once, and only one bed was changed in the whole stay.
If you stayed in the hotel all the time and spent your money in the bar yes the family appeared to be nice and helpful but if you chose to go elsewhere they seemed to hold it against you.
The hotel was well placed for geting about, travel to Sorrento and nearby was extremely easy.
We did go to this hotel saying that as long as it was clean and the food was good it would be ok, one of the two might have been nice.

Yes Club Hotel is basic but in Italy, unless you go for a 3+ star rating you will only get very basic. Italy stars are one or two below the British standards and what you get for your money. It's the difference between fluffy towels and coffee making facilities etc. The staff were very friendly, the hotel clean etc. and the food good. It's family run and central to everything you need. We normally use an apartment to see family but as everywhere was full we booked a charter holiday and used Club Hotel and found it just fine for the money.
