we stayed at this hotel for 6 nights it was a mixed party of couples and single people.
Firstly this hotel was recomended to me by my friend in italy who does some work for the guys who own this hotel (3 brothers)picking up their customers for tours and transfers etc.
This hotel is officialy classed as a 2 star hotel. Ignore that it is more like a 3-4 star hotel the main reason it isnt is because it doesnt have its own bar and restaurant.
The 3 brothers who run this place have what must be some of the best manners and proffesionalism i have ever encountered i was told that they have had years of experiance from working on some of the best high class hotel doors in rome and it shows. ive never stayed in what is supposed to be a 2 star hotel and had a concierge take my bags up to my room for me before, had the manger personaly show me to my room and explain the room safe, tv , bathroom and how to run the aircondition unit before.
As for the rooms. Well crisp white sheets, spotless room and bathroom (i had A single room with a double bed) the air conditioner was almost silent but so powerful that you need to turn it down (i did have it at full belt) otherwise you will wake up freezing cold!
the decor is minimal but not clinicaly clean. polished but with a nice comfortable feel.
This hotel only has bed and breakfast. you go over to the bar accross the road with a ticket to get breakfast which is basicly a croissant and a choice of coffee. In italy this is what breakfast usualy is so dont get upset that you arnt getting more than this, its normal.
Location is north of termini station. The area around termini has a bad reputation and you often find comments about it in guide books and read the odd horror stories about it. It is really over exaggerated if you are used to city life then you wont even notice anything. just watch your bags and pockets (same for all of rome anyway) around the station. the station is 5 mins up the road which is useful for the metro and for overland trains etc.
Entertainment can be had at the bar up the road called happy hour where the guys who run the place esspecially in the evening are really freindly, get to know them and you wont pay for a full round all night they look after you here alright, wink.
I would and will be staying here again i cant rate this place highly enough just chec out the reviews on tripadvisor.com if you dont believe me.
viva Roma!
