Just back from a weeks stay in the Sofitel and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We were upgraded on arrival to a sea view room and shown to what was a very comfortable room which is air conditioned all day and night if you wish.
Lovely big bed, nice bathroom, and spacey, all you'd really want for the room. Also nice big balcony with lovely views (see pics).
Pool area was gorgeous with comfortable loungers and a lovely pool itself. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the surroundings are just immaculate - well kept gardens and everything right through the hotel is just so clean.
Enjoyed the clear blue sea and white powder sand on the beach though we are more pool people.
Food was superb, was a little worried before with it being a buffet but this was a buffet fit for a king. Every night had a different theme with lots of culinary delights from meats including duck, steak, turkey, pork, pig, horse!! etc and seafood including, oysters, crab, lobster, prawns etc lovely fresh salads and basics like pizza and pasta.
deserts included freshly made cakes , fruit, ice cream etc and with so much choice you can;t go wrong.
There is also the restaurant 'Ginepri' by the beach where you have a 25 euro supplement per person if you fancy something different.
Local town of Villasimius is about a 20 minute walk or the hotel provides a shuttle service and has some lovely boutique style shops and nice coffee shops and restaurants.
The hotel also has the spa area including all types of treatments and jacuzzi, sauna etc as well as all the sporting facilities including tennis courts, football court, archery etc.
All in all a fantastic hotel with staff that help you relax immediately on arrival.
