This hotel is located facing the train station in an area outside Venice on the main land called Mestre. The trains are very frequent come every 5 mins and cost one euro each way. Its not even 10 mins away on the train to Venice Ferrovia Railway station where you can hop on the water buses to wherever you want to go.
The airport bus from both Treviso and Marco Polo stop practically outside the hotel and it avoids any hassle with water buses when you arrive and are not sure and dont want to be dragging cases around by foot looking for your hotel.. As it seems it is very difficult to find places in Venice. It is excellent value and so so simple. We had never been to venice and we decided to book this hotel on back of reviews we had read. It was an excellent choice and was brilliant value. We paid only 199 euros for two of us for three nights there was a special offer on from the hotel website. It seems the hotel website do these deals regularly so well worth checkin.
the breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choice. It is also possible to catch a bus which is about a 8 min walk from the plaza hotel- think its the number 5 to the Auchan shopping centre in Mestre- enjoyable enough for a change.
The hotel staff are very helpful and will go out of their way to give you advice.
Cant fault this place was just the job for visiting Venice at good value and without the hassle!
