Fantastic, friendly and ultra clean. The bar and restaurants were great, nothing too much trouble.
We especially liked the men at the door, very friendly and helpful, as was the gentleman who ran the pool who kept us cool with the cold flannels and filled iced water cups.
Rooms well stocked. Pure luxury!

This hotel and its service was like taking a step back in time. Every thing about it was just perfect. It was spotless not a speck of dirt anywhere.
The food was first class and so was the service.You could eat in 4 different places, they even served food round the pool.
The hotel is in the centre of Penang and overlooking the sea.
The staff were polite to a fault but very friendly and interested in what you thought of their country and why you were paying a visit. They took a real pride in doing their job. Nothing was too much trouble. They kept the rooms well stocked the tables cleared and your glass was never empty.
There was live music and dancing complete with salsa tutors. A TV in the sports bar. tea dances.
This hotel is the place to stay if you like old fashioned service and you like being spoilt. From having your sun glasses cleaned for you by the pool to having your slippers put by the bed at night and the bed turned down for you. You get a suite of rooms and your own personal 24hr butler.
