All the reviews I'd read before we booked are true. The location is great, the staff are a big asset, they are incredibly friendly and eager to please and the food delicious. The breakfast menu is superb and all freshly cooked to order. The dinner menu has some good choices on it.
The suite we had was really well appointed with 2 balconies. The 4 poster bed was very comfortable and the turn down service a lovely treat. If I'm nit picking then yes, the bath could do with re-enamelling but that really is scraping the barrel. The mini-bar prices weren't too bad either compared to some of the hotels we stayed in this trip. I also really liked the way the staff come around with cold towels, iced water and fruit throughout the day when you're on your sun bed.
The staff work hard keeping the communal areas and the beach in front of the hotel clean (shame some of the others along the beach didn't as we noticed rubbish further along). There was some renovation work going on during our stay but it never disturbed us.
There is also a jet ski hire place to the right of the hotel, but again this didn't disturb us, infact it was very quiet during our stay.
Whilst we were there it was our anniversary and I booked the La Luna dining experience (7 course dinner with matching wine) and can honestly say we were treated like royalty. From the flowers and card signed by all the staff that were received on the morning, to the free champagne and the attentive (but not too attentive) waiter, the whole evening was sublime. The food and presentation were excellent and the setting on the beach with tikki torches was really romantic.
This place was our treat after a tour of Borneo; a place to chill and relax and it more than lived up to expectations. We would definitely revisit.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and we loved it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is on the main road, but you cannot hear any noise. All rooms are looking onto the beach. Just a short walk from Casa Del Mar are shops and other restaurants.
I would definitely stay here again.
