This is an excellent hotel at very reasonable prices if you search and book well in advance. The views from the rooms overlooking the main pool are superb, though some balcony's are only big enough for two. The balcony's overlooking the courtyard pool are much larger but only have views of the internal courtyard/pool.
the hotel has a very large flight of steps to the side but you can avoid these completely by using the hotels lift that brings you out between the steps and the dive shop. walk across the bridge and you reach the main road and the bus stops ( the X bus stops here so great for arranging your own transport to and from the airport.
The staff are fantastic very polite and helpful. Our room a studio with balcony over the cave bar had fantastic views of the church and the bay. The kitchen is a bit dated but still of a very good standard only thing I would say is an oven would be a welcome addition. The room was large to say the least and had way more room than two people need. The bathroom was a good size with a bath and shower over the bath. These rooms ( on the same level as the reception ) are perfect for wheelchair users or guests with mobility issues.
The main street is steep, but you can avoid most of the hill by going out of the main entrance and walking straight ahead this will bring you out near Billy's music club ( fantastic bar and highly recommended ).
You can take a short cut down to the bay by using the lift as mentioned above and when you exit turn right past the dive shop to the end of the road and walk down a small dirt path to some steps ( uneven but unless wet not too bad even for someone with some mobility issues but most def not suitable for wheelchair or more serious mobility issues ) this will cut out the hairpins on the road but for most I would recommend getting the bus back up the hill.
Trips can be booked at the hotel reception and I would recommend especially in low season the trip to the Blue lagoon, ( food and drink at the Blue lagoon is reasonably priced as they are fully regulated ).
The bay has a large sandy beach with a very gentle slope so the water stays shallow for some distance and when we visited was very calm. The cafe/restaurant on the right just before the beach is excellent value, with good food and the staff are great.
The hotel pools the new main pool is nice and is great for a dip, the indoor pool does have a strong chlorine smell but not enough to make it unusable. The inner courtyard pool is a fly trap and looses the sun quicker. We stayed in mid October 2017 and all 3 pools where quiet. The cave bar though small is a nice relaxing place to sit and read have a drink or bite to eat.
Would I stay at this hotel again well we are already looking at booking again.
I have rated the hotel 5 for cleanliness, service, location and overall. I rated it 3 for entertainment because other than one evening of singing at the cave bar we did not go to any other, and 4 for food as we only had food at the cave bar.

Hotel tip: Use the lift for lower part of the main street and walk out the main entrance straight ahead or even left and first right for upper part of the main street.

We stayed here on a half board basis and the food was excellent,it was all cooked well and full of flavour, the choice was good too with a buffet style arrangement with choices of meats and vegetables and a good sweets selection. The hotel was spotlessly clean and always tidy and the rooms were of a very good finish with plenty of good extras like fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotels location was good right near the main town of Mellieha but with quite a few steps leading to the reception as the hotel is built into a hill. But lifts are available for those who find it too much. The staff were very friendly and all spoke very good english and were always on hand to help with any problems you may have. The hotel had an entertainment night every night with a mix of live singers/groups and quizz nights so there was always something to do.All in all our stay here was 1st class and we will deffinately be recomending this hotel to friends and will seriously consider staying here again in the future.

Hotel very clean, both the room and the public areas, even the poolside toilets which are often a problem at some hotels. This smallish hotel is part timeshare so has a quality feel about it, however we were not bugged into buying timeshare ourselves.
Our room was of a good size, quiet with a good sized balcony overlooking one of the swimming pools. The room had good quality furnishings, solid wood furniture, nice heavy curtains with black-out linings to cover the wall to wall patio doors, plenty of lamps, very thick fluffy towels, dispensers for shampoo and shower gel rather than sachets, warm floor tiles in the bathroom. We had a room safe, mini bar and tea/coffee tray with kettle etc. The TV had a good range of channels, an in house movie and info channel. You could also hire a Playstation2 and DVDs from reception, there is also an internet lounge.
There was a good size games room with a lot of different games machines, pool tables etc. A very nice small children's play room with soft flooring mini slide, see-saw, playhouse and toys.
Despite being November the outdoor swimming pools were in use, some hotels empty them in the winter months even if Malta has some warmish winter days. One of the outdoor pools is built into a cliff side cave so is quite sheltered. There is also an indoor pool with a Jacuzzi, a medium sized gym and a spa. Easy parking either outside the hotel or in the underground park. The hotel also has a laundry for guests use, handy if you have kids or are there for a long stay.
The food was good, dinner: one soup (homemade) two pasta, three main courses with a choice of 3 hot veg and either roast or chips, well cooked but not a vast choice, there was however a good cold buffet table that included some local items, peppered or plain goat's milk cheeslet (gbejna) bean pate (bigilla) Maltese sausage and marinated octopus. There was also a very good range of desserts.
Breakfast was the usual cereals, cold cuts, fruit and yoghurts and a hot buffet. Coffee served in a pot at your table, also a counter with a range of about 12 different teas. I must mention the view from the hillside restaurant is stunning.
Entertainment was live music in the bar in the evenings, during the day activities like treasure hunts around Mellieha, Maltese language lessons, Maltese food and wine tasting, quizzes, etc. You are close to the centre of Mellieha village and there are plenty of shops, things to see, country walks and nice bars close by, but no night-clubs.
I like the position of this hotel but it may not suit everyone as it is in a hilly position. The beautiful sandy beach that you look over at the bottom of the hill is a bit too far to walk to, there is a bus stop close by, but best to have a car for at least part of your holiday.

This resort is what you would expect from timeshare. It had 2 pools which were clean, plenty sunloungers but this was September.
Personally I would not recommend staying here with children as it was extremely quiet and peaceful. The staff were so friendly, helpful and pleasent, doing anyhing to make your stay a happy one.
Accomodation was clean, small balcony, comfortable.
The location is right in the centre of the village with regular bus to beach. I would recommend staying here to anyone but I would choose somewhere more lively for the children.
