My partner and i booked 2 weeks at the Clover in one of the Superior Rooms (it had A/C - this is essential). The room it's self had everything we needed for self catering, the only thing it missed was a pair of scissors! A fully set up kitchen, pull down double bed, double sofa, and table with chairs. Being a superior room, we had a daily maid who chaged our towels, and every 3/4 days changed the bedding. Being based on the ground floor at the back we had a very large terrase are with washing lines. The hotel staff we spoke to were lovely and had great humour. The outside pool was small, but a lovly size for the complex - perfect to dip in and cool off. The waster was always really clean, along with the rest of the area.
Lots of british families of all ages were also in the complex, so no one felt out of place. We're both in our 20's and met several people of our age.
I would recommend this complex to anyone who wants to go self catering. Just ensure you have a superiour room so you get the added luxaries.

The room we stayed in was very poor in terms of ventilation. There was a separate bedroom off the living room which was the only part to have a fan so in the heat the living area was quite unbearable. We found out later half the complex had air conditioning.Maid service was good and the rooms were clean, any maintenence problems were rectified quickly. the pool was nice not enough sunbeads though and people tend to reserve them despite the signs mainly the english I hate to say.
the one plus is the clover restaraunt run by Evie, her hospitality was amazing such a kind and accomodating lady, we felt like part of teh family when we left and will be keeping in touch with her.

We stayed in the Clover Apartments in Qawra, our apt was a very large studio with everything we needed for a self catering holiday. It was well furnished a very clean. We made good use of the sun terrace and the pool area. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant to speak to and we certainly recommend the apts. The location was excellant situated in a quiet street and close at hand for all restuarants, shops and the bus station.

Our 2nd visit to the Clover, booked direct and they arranged airport transfers no problems. Amanda and Frank on reception could not be more helpful and any small problem was very quickly rectified. The pool area is small and enclosed but sufficent for the size of the hotel & its cleaned daily. We ate in the restraunt a few times and found it quite edible although the price of the evening meal and Sunday roast went up 2.5 euros the 2nd week. Going back again next year.

The hotel was in a quiet part of the resort, but was within walking distance of the resort centre.
Nightly evening entertainment was varied and basic but still enjoyable.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very nice. There
was one night of entertainment in the hotel but it was repeated each week.
My mother in law had a one bedroom apartment and it was larger than our 2 bedroom which you could not swing a cat in.
The bar and reception area is plagued with mossies so be prepared as we were eaten alive by them. One of the best things about this hotel is the pool although there is not enough sunbeds and if you are not there when they open the doors you do not get one.
The view from our apartment was very nice although there is a lot of cats about.

Enormous apartment with 2 bathrooms and a shower room. Kitchen had everything we needed for the week although we ate out most of the time.
The pool area was nice but the water was absolutely freezing ! Maybe because it was October.
The restaurant is managed seperately and is totally non-smoking (as are all of the restaurants in the resort). We ate there on the last night and the menu while not huge had enough variety and the food was very good.
The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful.
The only slight downside about the hotel was that it was in a side street which could feel a bit spooky after dark but I did notice building work at the end of the street so it may be more opened up and better lit by now.
