The only complaint we had about the hotel was that the rooms needed a bit of a face lift, but other than that everything was great.

There was a very wide selection of food, from Mexican dishes to pizza to salads (and ice cream every lunch and dinner).

The location next to the beach was wonderful for the family as we could do as we pleased without going to far, also being just a 3-4 minute bus ride (costing around 6p)we had access to all the shopping, bars and clubs.

The selection of drinks available on all inclusive was good and it even includes cocktails.

There was a little something for all ages with the entertainment from colouring and gluing to Spanish lessons and free water sports.

Everything about this place was amazing.

I found it to be spotlessly clean. Maid service was every day with clean towels folded up origami style into animals.

The food was great. The main restaurant is buffet style and has a theme every day but still has a huge variety of non-themned stuff. I'm a very picky (vegetarian) eater and I loved it. There are 3 other restaurants that need to be pre-booked which were also amazing. If you're going here make sure you take advantage of these restaurants as it really is 5 star service.

The bar and restaurant staff were spot on. By day 2 they knew what your drink was and from then on in would have it ready for you if they saw you arriving and in the restaurant your drinks were constantly refreshed for you.

The entertainment staff were mad. There are water games, quizzes, classes (how to make cocktails, speak spannish) etc by the pool every day, a different show put on every night then if you wanted they take you clubbing after that. I wish I had half their energy!

When I get the chance I will definately visit this hotel again.

I worked for Thomson and got my holiday very cheap! However I would of paid the brochure price for this holiday!

When we arrived at the hotel, we were very impressed, the staff were immediately friendly and made us feel very welcome!

The hotel is on the ocean side of Cancun, but also right opposite the lagoon.

We were pleased with the room, it was quite basic, but clean and the beds were comfy! cleaned everyday and the maids were lovely!

The hotel grounds are gorgeous the pool area is lovely and the private beach is to die for!

The entertainment in the hotel couldn't be better! The shows were amazing and as good as some I have seen in the West End! Entertainment during the day was really good and brilliantly organised. The entertainment staff were the best I have come across and I really felt some of their talents were wasted working in a hotel.

The food in the main restaurant was really good, a lot of choice and in plentiful supply. The waiting staff were lovely and friends and nothing was too much trouble!
The a la carte restaurants were great, the Italian was the best, you could only eat in them once a week!

We went on 3 trips with the Thomson reps, their bar crawl which was a great laugh and really good way to see Cancun nightlife! The dolphin discovery which is a must and an experience of a lifetime and the jungle adventure, which was great, speeding around in little 2 person speed boats and snorkeling on the barrier reef and going through the jungle!

The location of the hotel couldn't be better - right opposite a small shopping mall, and just 5 mins on a bus - which picks you up right outside and costs just 6 pesos = about 20pence!

Definitely worth going to this hotel, would recommend it to everyone and cannot fault it in the slightest!

The hotel is very old and dated, the bedrooms are musty and smelly and need of a refurbishment. The food was OK but not much variety for children.
Location was not too bad, staff were friendly and good with children but avoid all timeshare staff wherever possible!
Would not recommend this hotel as 3 star plus as in brochures, choose alternative if you can.

Stayed at the Caribbean Village all-inclusive for a week in February.
Fantastic beach side location however a bus ride from the main strip entertainment areas.
The hotel itself was very dated and the rooms disappointing - musty smelling and in desperate need of new decor and furnishings. Windows would only open by about 6 inches and the bathroom was very old.
Good food with plenty of choice in the main buffet and neverending drinks. The speciality restaurants were ok - the Italian being the best of the 3 available.
Tips for future travellers - ignore the timeshare staff in the lobby, book your speciality restaurants as soon as you arrive and go swimming with dolpins off Isla Mujeres - it's amazing and was by far the highlight of our holiday.
