Upon arrival we were greeted by a very smart bell boy with a cool face cloth which was very much appreciated after a long flight and a very warm day. In reception we were handed a glass of chilled champagne as we checked in.

The staff all speak very good English and encourage you to try and speak Spanish even if like me you are no good! The first impression of the hotel and surroundings was WOW and this continued throughout our stay.

All the areas were kept immaculate with staff cleaning constantly, cutting grass, hosing the walkways, cleaning the windows, maids etc. The hotel is exactly as it looks on the website/brochure. It was truly perfect.

The rooms were spotless and well furnished.

The food is excellent in all the restaurants and the staff are extremely polite and cheerful. Nothing is too much trouble. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

There are loads of activities if you want to take part but it is peaceful enough if you just want to relax (perhaps not round the swim up pool bar though!)

The entertainers work very hard to put on a good show although it may not be to everyone's taste but they score 10/10 for effort and making sure everyone has a good time.

This was our honeymoon and we wanted something special we couldnt have chosen any better !! Very romantic !

Hotel very clean it was spotless. On arrival met by porter who gave us a cocktail and cool towel. Our luggage was taken up to our room and we were given a guided tour of hotel as we made our way up to the room. Once at the room I was amazed it took my breath away, marble bathroom, walk in shower room, jacuzzi tub, queen size bed which may I add was a four poster !

Fresh flowers on bed, champagne and fruit , it was perfect !!

The food at the hotel was excellent 7 a la carte restaurants to choose from, it was absolutely fabulous.

Quiet, clean and very private beach, small amount of sea grass on shore but nothing too much !

Hotel staff polite and very helpful. Always working, cleaning.

Would love to visit again soon.......

The hotel is absolutely amazing!!
The all inclusive is brilliant and there are plenty of different restaurants to eat at and you dont even have to book a table.
The hotel and your suite are very clean and are cleaned everyday!
The beach is amazing and very private. When we visited they did not allow people staying at a neighbouring hotel to use our beach which was lovely.
The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble (especially with making all the lovely cocktails)!!
We are going to go back there as it was so lovely and if you want to go and relax this is the place for you!

My partner and i stayed in the Excellence in May 2005 and WOW.... we have stayed in many all inclusives all over the worls but this one just blew us away, here's why...

Location
The location on the Riviera Maya is beautifully secluded on a fine sandy beach truley brilliant, there is a small ammount of seagrass deposited on the beach daily but this is quickly cleared awayby the ever vigilant staff. There is a short commute from the airport which passed quickly in our private Taxi transfer.

Hotel
The hotel is large but not huge, it is absolutely immaculate everywhere

Restaurants
The restaurants are fantastic, there is none of this only once per stay nonsence you could eat in each as many times as you lked, they operate a first come first served policy, but we never wated more than 40 minutes often only 5-10 minutes and with cocktail in had and entertainment laid on, why hurry, there is a fantastic choice of bars and top shelf brands are freely offered.

Pools and beach
Both are spacious and well tended, the pools vary from active to relaxing, the Spa pool is particulary peaceful. Both have plenty of bars surrounding them and the staff are always checking to see if they can get you anything.

Activites and entertainment
There are loads of activities and entertainment if you want it, if not just enjoy the peace and tanquility, this is a fun resort where you can also totally unwind.

Rooms.
The rooms are fantastic, each one has a whirlpool bath and an enormous bed, the mini bar was always stocked and the linen and towels changed everyday you really cannot fault them at all.

Staff
The staff were all extremely helpful and polite, all spoke good english and went out of their way to make our stay the best.

All in all, this is a wonderful resort, better than any sandals i have stayed in, The holidayplace booked us an extremely good deal, will we be going back ?

Definately......and I would advise anyone who likes, sun, sea, good service, fine dining and a truley luxurious resort to book a break there .. enjoy it I know you will.
