It was nice hotel but I don't think it should be a 5* ratting maybe 3-4*. The room was a fine size on 2 levels. The entrance inside the hotel looked nice with helpful staff.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in May, we did a diy, and flew with easyjet (very good and no problems) we booked through www.bookings.net.
Location of hotel is excellent, straight out of the train station and on your left is the hotel.
This is a very up-market hotel, upon entrance the hotel seems quite bare, there is a lot of marble and most furniture is black, but it is lovely there are fresh flowers everywhere.
Reception staff were great we checked in quickly and were given 2 room key cards. You also need these to access the 4 lifts that there are. You need them to make the lifts to go up, but not when your coming down. As there are no stairs in this hotel. This is so that should anybody get into the hotel that shouldn't they can't use the lift. Very good security I think.
Our room was located on floor 3 and it was a non-smoking room. When we went in, I noticed that we had a business room. It was beautiful and calming. The wall-paper was pale stripped and had dark furniture. There is a very comfy double bed with a soft and fluffy duvet. 2 bedside cabinets with large bedside lamps. A comfy chair with footstool and small table with a book on Amstersam are next to the window. There is a large business desk which is on the wall opposit the bed. Next to it is a large cabinet whith a telly which has sky on it, there are 3 draws in the cabinet below this. Then there is a bedding chest. Then the large wardrobes which have a mini fridge in it (beware if you just pick up any item you will be charged for it- so don't remove anything unless you actuallly want it) There is also a ironing board and iron. And a free safe for your use.
The bathroom is massive it has a large bath with a power shower which is temp controlled. Large fluffy towels are provided. There is 1 sink and a massive mirror, along with a hairdryer and a magnifiying mirror. Toilitries are supplied including shaving foam and razor, along with face exfoliatior.
All rooms have air-conditioning, which was great cause it was a hot weekend when we went.
Outside our room was a ice-making machine, which was very handy when I had a vodka tonic in bed watching telly.
Maid service was very good and the chocolates on the pillow were a nice treat at night.
The view from our window was of a small square, but we weren't bothered as we never looked out of it.
Didn't use any of the hotel facilities as there was to much to do in Amsterdam. That is why I gave the entertainment 1 as we did not use it.
There is a information desk in the hotel which is very handy and gives out some fantastic information on the surrounding areas. There was a bar which looked quite nice and a restaurant. Check out is at 12.00 and there is a room where luggage can be stored.
Your given a receipt for your luggage which is left there. Very handy if you have a late flight like we did.
If you should decide to book this hotel you would not be dissapointed, it is a great hotel in a wonderful location.
Although it is not a cheap hotel. But by doing a search on the internet you can come, up with different prices, so do a good search.
