My new husband and I were married in North Cyprus, we rented a large villa for our holiday very close to the hotel and 4 of our friends came over and stayed at the hotel.
We had our wedding meal and reception at the Hotel Sempati and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful, assisting and arranged flowers and wedding cake for us.
The hotel is immaculately clean and airy with a very good and varied menu in the restaurant. We also enjoyed the karaoke/BBQ night on Fridays, which was a good excuse to have a bit of a laugh with DJ Ozzy.
Next time we go to Lapta we will definitely choose to stay at the Sempati as we were overwhelmed by their hospitality and we weren't even staying there.
Top Quality and highly recommended. Thanks to all their lovely, friendly staff and Karim who arranged all the wedding details.

We had interconnecting rooms which were large, sunny and very clean.
The bar, dinning room and lounge were airy and clean.
Pool lovely and very clean.
Staff are lovely a real cedit to their boss.
Breakfast was super and bit of variety would have been nice but there was as much as you could eat and it was fresh. We had dinner several times and it was fine.
Overall a lovely hotel that the whole family enjoyed and those views! so lovely. We will return

I thought Hotel Semati was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. It should be a four star hotel rather than three star, because compared to the 3 star hotel I stayed in Prague it was a much higher standard, with a pool, balcony, minibar, and such polite and friendly staff, whose English I thought was superb, and I felt quite silly for not speaking a word of Turkish.
The rooms are all an excellent size, and so comfortable, it felt like home.
There was belly dancing on Turkish night, with one of the staff Bilsay, who was an amazing dancer.
I dance in England but I felt like I couldn't dance at all in comparison. The location was really nice, 5 mins from the sea, and with a backdrop of mountains, and about a five minute drive from the town, where the clubs and bars and restaurants are.

Superb! That about sums up the holiday i had in July of 2002 at Hotel Sempati! The staff are excellent people and the hotel manager/owner (Erkan) is exceptionally helpful. I booked my holiday through the hotels website and got an amazing deal, even though the prospect of handing out my credit card details was a bit daunting, there were no problems whatsoever.
The hotel is situated outside Kyrenia (Girne) and car hire is definately required (unless you are a pool hermit!) You can gain a better deal if you book car hire and your holiday directly with the hotel via the website. There is not much to see and do around the hotel other than Sevkets (pronounced Shevkets) bar/restaurant, situated on the main road which has its own pool and is exceptionally good value.
The hotel has its own restaurant which does do some quite tastey foods although it is expensive for Cypriot standards and quality is of a reasonable standard. The hotel does do some themed nights (Turkish, Indian etc.) the food on these nights is generally better but the entertainment is the real high point with live Turkish cabaret singing and dancing NOT TO BE MISSED!
The views from the hotel are superb and the photographs that appear in brochures of the hotel and its rooms do not serve it justice!
The staff are mainly Kurds who are exceptionally friendly people, some of whom speak better English than others but all are happy to help.
Please bear in mind that travel from North to South Cyprus is not (theoretically) possible.
