Really liked this hotel because of its clean and functional apartments, with great kitchenette facilities, good sized rooms and balcony. However, style is clean and simple rather than chintzy and fussy, so may not be to everyone's tastes. Great power showers and functioning aircon.
Pool is nice and big, in the shape of a giant foot!
Location is quiet but within walking distance of the centre of the resort with its restaurants and bars. Great location right by the lagoons - feels remote and a great place to escape. 5 mins drive to Tavira for many more restaurants and bars.
Limited entertainment when we were there, which was a relief. Probably not the best place if you're travelling with young children as there is not much entertainment or many play facilities. It's a place to stay if you're looking for somewhere quiet and to chill out.

We spent 3 nights at this complex and really enjoyed our stay. The 1 bedroom apartments are spacious, with large balcony (nice view of the Ria Formosa), living area with sofa & television. Kitchen is very well equipt. It has all the usual appliances fridge/hob ect., but also has a microwave and coffee maker. The bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom clean & modern. Aircon was free (and badly needed as it was over 40 degrees). The pool is nice and large with a good size terrace area. There is a bar/restaurant beside it, which is very nice and reasonably priced. A short walk from the back of the resort brings you to the free boat shuttle service, which takes you to the beach. Reception staff are very pleasant and helplful. The complex is about 8-10 min walk from the centre of Cabanas, and is situated in an area with similar properties (the Golden Clube is beside it, but does not look nearly as nice or comfortable as the Park Resort). We really enjoyed staying at the Park Resort and look forward to returning in the future.

The Hotel itself does not warrant 4 stars it was clean but quite basic the air conditioning only went down to 17C which on some nights felt like it wasn't on, it was cooler outside than.
The pool was great with plenty of sun beds during the day, the pool area got very busy from about 3.30 each day, the weather was fantastic. We didn't bother with the hotel entertainment after the first night.
The local resort is very very quite, OK for a short break but if you stay longer you need a car to get out and about unless you ae looking for nothing to do. The mosquitos were a real problem at night and the hotel staff could be rude.
We were half board but the food is not up to much so we ate out the last 4 nights, the restaurant certainly got busy after 8pm it really wasn't big enough to cop with the size of the resort. There are some excellent restaurants not far away, portions are huge so for kids I would share one main course
The beach was fantastic, if you spend the day there take some shade with you and an ice box.

Large, well laid out resort with two good sized pools. Separate volleyball/beach football pitch. Great beach nearby, accessed by free boat from right next to resort - only two minutes to get there and worth it.
Nothing there except small drinks 'shack' which is probably why it was so quiet. Excellent rock pools in between resort and beach at low tide.
A couple of basic cafes on site but very slow service when we were there. Restaurant at night which we didn't use but seemed popular with those HB or AI. Small bar area.
A couple of staff made up the entertainments team which mostly consisted of water polo matches, water aerobics and football matches (for children and adults). Not invasive and you could take or leave it. Hire care recommended as location is quite remote. More cafes and bars in nearby Tavira.
Self catering appartment was basic but a good size.
You are tagged as soon as you get there - different colour depending on your board basis and are not allowed to use the facilities without your band.
We travelled a lot as we were there for the football and my sons found this highly embarrasing. Staff couldn't do enough for us.
