Excellent location for sightseeing and shops. Castle can be seen from the front of the hotel. Good size room and bathroom (separate shower and bath). Staff helpful, efficient and polite. Breakfast was included in the price and was varied and well cooked, not sure if we would have paid the extra if it had not been included purely as elswhere may have been cheaper.
Only minor moans - room was at the end of a long corridor and looked out onto a brick wall, small chip in the sink and paintwork finish in some areas poor.
Nice to be given bottled water free of charge in the room as well as usual teas, coffee and hot chocolate.
Had coffees at various times when visited by friends and always served with biscuits/cakes. Had a small meal when returning late one evening which was fine, the salad was very good.
