We stayed at the Novotel as we were going to the Scotland v Australia rugby match last Saturday. The hotel which is only a couple of years old is located on Laurieston Place, just off Lothian Road for those who know Edinburgh, for those who don't, it's about a five or so minutes walk south of Princes Street Gardens behind the Castle.
The hotel has a 16 space free car park, on a first come first served basis, what they don't tell you is it costs you
