We (3 generations) booked the festive package over Christmas. From arrival to departure we felt like guests in Nick & Mary's home. Understated but attentive service from the friendly staff.
The food was excellent, with a good choice, and the 300 year old house itself is very atmospheric, without making too much of its Burns connections. The 45 acres of grounds, as well as the River Nith (good salmon fishing in season), provide for pleasant walks, weather permitting.
We've already booked a return visit in the spring.
