I had requested a room near reception and got Room 10 which was on the ground floor, but right at the end of the corridor as far away from reception as you could get.
The room was really nice with a king size bed and a 2 seater sofa. There was a CRT TV on a desk opposite the sofa and there were tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was nice with a shower, toilet and sink and there was a hair dryer.
We got a code from reception for the Wi-Fi, but couldn’t get a connection. Reception said they’d had problems. She said she could give me an Ethernet with a £10 deposit, but I had one. The internet lasted for 4 hours, but I got another code from reception for an additional 8 hours.
The bathroom was nice with a shower, toilet and sink. Shower gel / shampoo was provided from a dispenser on the wall. The shower pressure was good.
There is a bar next to reception and breakfast is included. The breakfast was quite good. There was juice, cereals, croissants, toast, sausages, scrambled eggs and beans, yogurts, fruit.
Breakfast is served 07.00-10.30 at the weekend.
There is a Harvester restaurant 5 minutes’ walk away which served meals all day. There is also a retail park opposite the hotel with a 24 hour Asda.
I would certainly stay here again.
