The breakfast was good apart from the fly crawling about the pastries etc, these could have been covered up. Overall the hotel seemed to be reasonably clean. There was a lot of exposed plaster and there was water running down the wall in the dining room due to heavy rain fall. The bathroom in our room was really grotty, paper falling off the ceiling, rotten bath panel. Did go to reception to complain and were given the keys to another room,218 family room, the mattress was about 1 inch deep and the cover on the bed was really threadbare, decided just to stick with the grotty bathroom. Complained to the manager that the rooms were not as advertised on their website only to be told that he agreed with us and that head office aware of the misleading advertising. We were also told that we were given the room at a discounted rate because of the condition of the room but this was not stated at the time of booking. Definitely would not stay there again!!!!!!

One of the most disgusting hotels i`ve ever had the displeasure of staying in and i`ve stayed in a few dumps in my time. The room was filthy, the wall paper was hanging off the wall, there was no shower and the bath was very grotty, the only plus point was that the hot water was in fact hot.
There was water running down the inside of the dining room walls at breakfast and there were holes in the plaster. A large section of the ceiling plaster at the top of the main staircase was missing. After complaining to the hotel management i was told that i got the room at a reduced rate due to the poor condition of the room, i should have gotten a bigger reduction due to the condition of the whole hotel.
