We booked a room but this is actually an apartment. It has a full kitchen- even down to the dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and washer/dryer.This is open plan with the dining and lounge areas. If you look at the website for the hotel, the photo of the accomodation on the first page could well have been ours. The TV has sky news on it. There is tea and coffee. The bedroom has plenty storage area and the dressing table has a hairdryer. The bed is really comfortable. As well as storage in the bedroom there were more shelves in the entrance area, a cupboard which stores the iron and board and the safe, and of course cupboards galore in the kitchen. The rooms have A/C and there is a balcony. We had a corner room and found that the wall to wall windows along 2 sides of the lounge area could open out completely if you wanted.
Breakfast was really good with loads of choices- even down to smoothies and porridge! The hotel has a small roof pool but we didn't use it. It has a gym, which has top range equipment in it( according to OH who knows his stuff!)
Location is ideal. It is a 10 min stroll to the V&A which we always did during the day. Decided it was best to take a taxi at night. The same distance away is Long Street which is good for nightlife. It is also 5 mins walk to the hop on/hop off bus.
We had looked at the Waterfront hotels and decided we did not want to pay their prices. I am so glad I found this place- almost in as good a position, lovely hotel and a lot cheaper.
Staff were friendly and helpful. They did however, not book our shuttle back correctly and we were awoken at 5.45am when we had actually booked 5.45pm. Apart from that I would have absolutely no complaints.
I would return to this hotel and recommend it to others.
