Returned from La Perla last week after a great time.
We arrived about 2am and were greeted by Brian who is on at night. He was very friendly and knew who we were straight away.
Our rooms were basic but really clean and quite a good size - even with 3 beds in one room we had plenty of room. Our balcony

If you are travelling to Ibiza, and you are looking for a clean, friendly, economical base from which to discover everything that the island has to offer, then look no further than La Perla, Es Cana.
The place is spotlessly clean(cleaners in room daily),and the owner, Ana, was always on hand to answer any queries or resolve any difficulties.
Pool was a bit on the small side, but ideal for cooling off after a long day in the sunshine.
We had an apartment and a twin bedroom for 14 nights in June/July and both rooms had more than adequate facilities. I would recommend hiring fans for a nominal fee in high season as there is no air con.
The hotel is located right in the resort centre, 80 metres to beach, and directly across the road from bus station and taxis.
Lovely tapas restaurant attached to hotel and several good bar/restaurants for a variety of tastes within 5 minute walk.
Car hire on site for the more adventurous.
The deal clincher for us with this hotel was that 6 of us had 14 nights for less than 800 euros in June/July. WHAT A BARGAIN!!!! Will definitely be returning at those prices.

The Ritz, these apartments are not...however, nor are they the pits and we had a thoroughly enjoyable week.
Very basic, no air con - Self catering rooms have a ceiling fan in the living area and one in the bedroom, where as the B&B rooms do not offer any cooling facilities.
Self-catering rooms: well equipped, ours had a proper cooker, fridge, full range of utensils, very good size, and nice large balcony. Rooms perhaps in a little need of modernisation re:decor etc, but clean.
B& B rooms well presented, fairly small. Re-fitted bathrooms, VERY hot, much smaller balconies.
It is advisable to request a room on a high floor as the apartments have their own bar/restaurant underneath, and there is a fairly noisy bar across the road. We were situated on 3rd floor (of possible 4) and although we could hear back-ground noise until around midnight, didn't really have a problem.
The pool is nothing to write home about. It is situated on the 1st floor, with rooftops and buildings over looking it. It is small, but adequate if you need a quick cool off. Didn't really see this as an issue as the beach is so close.
The apartments are run by a lady called Anna who is very friendly and incredibly helpful. Her English is also very good, so no probs there.
Located approx. 3 min walk away from the beach and practically opposite the bus stop to Santa Eularia, where you can connect with other busses to Ibiza town and various other resorts across the island.

We discovered Hostel La Perla in 2000, and fell in love with the place! Yes it is very basic and a wee bit old-fashioned but thats the attraction.
It is ideally situated for getting about the resort and the rest of Ibiza. It can be noisy but not very late and afterall everyone is on their hols.
I would always recommend La Perla and know of quite a few others who would recommend too. The main thing is it is always clean the staff are always happy to see you and Ana is such a darling, she will go out of her way to help you.
We have stayed in many other hotels around the world and have been visiting Ibiza for the last 15 years and have stayed in La Perla for the last 5, two week in May and two week in October and shall continue to do so for many years yet (hopefully!)
