These apartments are in S'Argamassa NOT Santa Ponsa (I dont think its in Ibiza)
We booked via the Internet with the owner, Lillibeth, using her web page benet-pinares com and booked flights with Thomsonfly com from Coventry.
This was our sixth visit to these apartments. They are in two blocks, each block with its own pool. They are very spacious, clean and immaculate. There were four of us in an apartment for six. This meant we had two double bedrooms so did not have to use the sofa beds, although we have used then in the past and found them comfortable.
The apartments are owned by Lillibeth who speaks fluent English. She arranged to have a grocery pack waiting for us and a hired car was waiting for us at the airport. As we arrived at 4.30 a.m. this was very welcome indeed. She is extremely friendly and helpful as are Diego and Sole who run the bar. Don't miss Sole's paella which is the best anywhere. You need to order this the day before so that she can buy the fresh ingredients.
There is a very well-stocked supermarket right outside the back gate and we found things very reasonable there.
S'Argamassa is a very quiet area situated between Es Cana and Santa Eulalia. There are three beaches within five or ten minutes' walk - S'Argamassa, Cala Pada and Cala Martina. Niu Blau beach is five munutes' drive away or a twenty minute walk along the coastal path. The path follows the sea all the way, going via Cala Pada beach. You can follow the same path all the way to Santa Eulalia and this takes about an hour from the apartments.
We liked the Sa Trenca restaurant which is on the beach at Cala Martina and the Bora Bora restaurant at Niu Blau. There are many good restaurants in Santa Eulalia, a five minute drive away.
A boat leaves Cala Pada beach at regular intervals for Santa Eulalia, where connections can be made with other boats to Cala Llonga, Ibiza Town and Formentera which is well worth a visit. We bought our tickets for Formentera on the boat from Cala Pada. The journey takes about an hour and, on arrival, you can get on a free bus which takes you on a tour of the island and to a beach. The beaches here are beautiful and the water is crystal clear.
In 2006 the apartments will be in the Style brochure which is part of Thomas Cook.
We'll be back next year for the seventh time.
