My fiance and I arrived in the early hours of the morning and checked into our room. We were immediately disappointed with our room, it was on the lowest floor with an open balcony and the room was very small. Went back to reception and complained. We were told there was nothing they could do at 2am but to pop back at 8am the next morning and they would see what they could do. Went back following morning and were given keys to another room and to go and have a look to see if it was more suitable. It was still small and basic but when we opened the patio doors the view was just amazing, a beautiful panoramic almost view of San Miquel Bay. We had been moved from the bottom to the very top of the hotel!
The hotel in areas could do with some painting and upgrading but our room was clean and tidy, cleaners came in everyday and made beds and clean towels were left.
The food was lovely, always plenty of choice. It was sometimes a bit crowded in the restaurant at times though. Lots of sweet puddings to choose from. Nice salad and fresh vegetables too.
Loved the location of this hotel. The walk down to the beach was lovely but hard work in the heat on the way back sometimes. The sea is nice and clear, was a bit choppy for the first few days.
Just a couple of shops for you to browse around. It was nice that you can use all 3 hotels although we spent all our time at the Galeon because it was so nice.
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, although the all inclusive finishes at 11pm. Entertainment wasn't too bad. I guess if we had stayed for 2 weeks it would have been a bit repetitive. Must mention Vanessa, goodness me that lady doesn't stop. She works so hard to entertain everyone and is always smiling! Apart from when she was thrown in the pool fully clothed with her best watch on! Well me and my fiance had the best time ever here and we would love to go back again thats for sure. A week wasn't long enough!

Arrived in the early hours of the morning and was tired, just threw are cases down and jumped into bed. Woke up a few hours later and opened patio doors and was over whelmed by the most amazing view ever. It really was breath taking.
The food was great too, plenty of choice, although at times was difficult to get a seat.
Had a really fantastic holiday here and will defiantly be going back again quite soon. The hotel is nice and clean, however a bit of a damp smell coming from the rocks in some areas. Certainly didn’t put me off.
Entertainment a bit poor and not a lot to do at night, although if you had small children they had a disco every night. All in all a very good holiday.

Just returned from 2 week stay in this hotel.First impression of room was not good, furnishings were tatty and and room was dull.It was clean enough but needed some TLC.The view though was fantastic from our large terrace, so no complaints there.
Food was not brilliant and got sick of chips at every meal time, there was no other potato alternative, salad bar, pasta dishes were ok.you can book for the chinese restaurant in the reception, this is in the sister hotel next door, but it is only open for an hour for you to eat the food. Staff were freindly enough but entertainment ,well was can i say ok if you got kids but only the odd time they put something decent on for adults, reps do a lot of the entertaining.
None of this spoiled my holiday ,you just get on with it and have a good time.warning though if you go and you are allocated on the second floor you will be greeted by the awful damp smell as this hotel is built into the rocks, also the bar terrace is directly above your room and the noise from scraping chairs/tables is unbelievable and baby elephants wearing high heels is constant, so dont expect to have a nice siesta or god forbid an early night.
Another problem with the bar above your terrace is some people tend to think it is an ash tray and throw their lit ciggy stumps on to your terrace( happened to us). We would go back to this hotel but only if assured we would get a higher floor as the smell of damp as you approached our corridor was awful as well as the noise above.

The Galeon hotel is situated on a cliff with superb views over the beach, there are quite a few steps to beach 146 to be exact. but there is a lift through the other hotel.Maid service everyday, had small balcony but our 16yrold and friends had family room with large balcony.Food was good although I think too many chips for lunch and dinner!range from fish meatballs paella pizza roast chicken legs and fresh whole salmon. kids made their own toasties! entertainment started at 9.30pm each evening shows were acrobats, magic, flamenco and also audience participation these we liked the best the 16yr olds really got involved There were activities in the day but not too many table tennis darts waterpolo and killerpool.Dimitri was great with the kids. quite a lot of French and Swedish but also some Brits.Shows were at front of pool so if you had young children it would be quite noisy. Finished by 11pm.

This was our second visit to the Galeon and we cant wait to go back .
The hotel is set on the cliffside with stunning views over the bay all rooms have this view there is a lovely balcony bar with friendly bar staff the drinks are nice but in plastic glasses untill the pool closes.
You can use your all inclusive option in the sister hotel next door and the hotel near the beach there is a western saloon bar next to the beach serving hot dogs burgers chips etc this is where the nightly entertainment takes place. which is first class very funny the lead entertainer is called Zorro and is outrageous. He has a great team.
The food in the Galeon is excellent full english breakfasts it is worth the walk back from the beach for lunch.
The food is plentiful. Lots to choose from you have a help youself beer tap in the restaurant. There is a Mexican corner for food a tapas and Chinese at the sister hotel so there is plenty of choice.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Galeon you will have a great time.

The resort is VERY quiet with entertainment mainly provided in the Hotels - which is generally 20 years out of date - this is true of the 3 hotels in the complex. The Galeon itself is mainly used by the French, makes a nice change from a Brits only hotel - however be aware that security is very lax and often people use the pool at all hours with no consideration for other guests in the hotel.
There are much better resorts in Ibiza - Playa Den Bossa, San Antonio Bay etc to name a couple.
Would never go to this resort again,
