Rooms are a good size and cleaned regularly. Air con was a real plus.
Food was not up to much.
Entertainment staff were top notch the kids loved them to bits particularly Ali but they were all excellent.
A bit miffed that there was no food during the day and the pool area bins could have been emptied more often.
Location great ground spot on.

Booked this hotel at last min for a very small fee in March so didn't know what to expect when we got there and boy were we surprised!!

The Puerto del Sol apartments are the best. Anyone wanting a holiday in Majorca with children this is the place.

Puerto del Sol apartments, Cala d'Or Majorca. The location was excellent, right next to the marina.
Staff were very helpful.
Hotel was clean and the poolside snack bar good.
Restaurant was ok. We preferred to eat in the town centre.

We stayed for a week here, and found it to be a very nice complex. Strictly speaking its between two resorts, there's about a 10 min walk either way to each resort, but that's good exercise right?!
Our apartment was very clean, spacious, and perfectly adequate for our needs. No air con, but leaving the windows open with the shutters across provided enough 'heat relief' at night. No nasty biting insects at night either which was great!
The staff in the complex were very hardworking, friendly and the two reps for the adults were also very entertaining and 'on the go' all the time. There are also 'children's clubs' and activities on every day, adult ones too if you so desire!
I have to say I didn't rate any of the other reps at the resort at all, they didn't give you all the ins and outs of the coach trips (as in they didn't tell you just how long you'd be on the coach or how many pickups and dropoffs you'd have to suffer) - but I'd definitely recommend the trip to see the show Pirates in Magaluf - despite the long 2 hour journey - the show more than makes up for it!!

The apartment was unbelievably spacious and very clean. Unfortunately we were on the top floor near a main road which at weekends was very noisey well into the night. The staff were really polite and helpfull. The onsite snackbars were ok but we tended to eat out. The Marina area tended to be expensive, but there were cheaper eating places close by.It was very hot when we were there,and with no airconditioning it was difficult to sleep at night.The entertainment was ok but nothing special, the reps tried their best.Would recommend this aparthotel to anyone.

My Husband and I loved our stay here. We paid for half board but we only actually ate breakfast there, not that there was anything wrong with the food, but just because it was so cheap to eat at fancy restaurants!!
Our room was spacious and clean with a large balcony overlooking the pool area.
The staff were aways available and willing to help if needed.
We didn't see much of the entertainment but what we did see of it it was ok. We are currently trying to book a holiday to the same hotel for September this year!!

Complex was very large with choice of 4 pools. We were in the furthest apartment on the top floor which was quite a trek every morning, especially as we had our 18 month old daughter complete with pushchair etc... and there were no lifts.
The main road on the edge of the complex is very busy and very noisy, so getting a good nights sleep can be quite hard, unless you get very drunk.
Most apartments have air conditioning but none of them were working whilst we were there. Lucky we brought fans with us for the kids as it was very hot.
Enough of the bad comments............
The snack bar at the main pool was very good and the breakfast was well worth 4 Euros every morning.

The entertainment staff were excellent and work long hours, and put so much effort into keeping the kids entertained. We couldn't praise them all enough.

Had a great family holiday in July 2004. We had a welcoming party of cockroaches the first night but after that had no problems. The staff are friendly and the food is good. The snack bar by the pool is as good as any I've been to.
The entertainment staff were fantastic, they work from dawn until dusk and are the reason we would return again.

This Hotel was great fun and there is always something fun to entertain you especially the children with activities everyday
With three great pools and enough sun lougers we had great fun me and my family
It's well worth the visit it's so friendly and welcoming
