Cala Egos itself very clean and good selection of shops and eating places. Resort is 3 minutes from the Marina Corfu Hotel . Cala Dor is 20 minutes walk to the marina but 5 minutes in Taxi for 5 Euros, well worth the price as is door to door service

Had previously visited Playa del Muro nr Alcudia and Cala Egos/D'or is completely different. A lot quieter and no main big beach - just lots of littles beaches and coves. This made it great for a family such as ourselves. Great for a week's break. Ate out in Cala Egos most nights. The larger Cala D'or was walkable in the cooler Sept weather, but you can also get a taxi or the tourist train.
Hired a car for 2 days and drove down the Costa Nord road once again through the mountains. This takes in Pollensa, Soller, Deia and Valldemossa - the scenery is a must and anyone who stayed on a beach all week may not appreciate just how stunning Majorca is. Michael Douglas has put a lot of his money into preserving the "North Coast" and his visitor centre is based in Valldemossa.
Day 2 we drove a little was south of Cala Egos to Cala Figuera - a picture postcard fishing village.
Back in Cala Egos I would recommend Tony's restuarant for eating - a family favourite!

The immediate area of Cala Egos is small - but there are plenty of souvenir shops, tobaconnists, bars and restaraunts. Cala D'Or is a 5 minute taxi ride away for a bigger variety - costing only 5 euros each way. A visit to the marina there is a nice change from the hotel evening entertainment.
We ventured a bit further to Felanitx on the Sunday morning. Its held in the streets of the town - very pretty, windy streets - generally OK -but lots of stalls selling fake designer bags etc. The excursion also took us up to Sant Salvador monastery - an impressive building 500m up on the mountain, accessed by a single track road - a real test for the coach driver! Worth a look!

Great bay.
Plenty to do.
Loads of pubs vying for your business, so cheap.

Love it- thinking nowhere else will compare. We love the little beach but also the fact that you can take a walk into a bigger beach and a lovely marina.
Quiet - just what we like- not a NED/YOB in sight- really safe, relaxed place.

Going Back- for the 4th time !

10/10

The resort of cala egos is nice enough but is quite small, and is at least 10 minutes in a taxi into cala dor. There are around a dozen bars and restaurants, those of which we tried were all nice and the food was good.We enjoyed Bogarts music bar for entertainment. The resort was quiet with it being October but as stated generally good.

The beach was beautiful.

It was more a little cove really but so beautiful.infact i canot get over how lovely it was.

We only went in to Cala Egos once in the evening and were bored we found the hotel better.

We went to the marina in Cala Dor for a meal one night and it was beautiful.

Cant remeber the name of the restaurant but we got the biggest most juicy t bone steak for practically pennies mmmmmmmmm can taste it thinking about it!

I'ts 10mins taxi or there’s a road train every 20 mins from Cala Egos to Cala d'Or it runs until about midnight for only 5 euros return.

You can walk along the woods & marina into Cala d'O or but I wouldn’t advise it on a night it’s a bit off the beaten track.

Cala d'Or is the main resort with plenty of places to eat & drink, its set around a pretty square. Cala Egos is smaller & quieter but still with plenty of good places to eat.

Try the British pub Rumours it has entertainment every night with snacks available during the day.

There are small coves within easy walking distance of Cala Egos some just a few mins. away. A very pretty friendly resort we love it.
