We stayed here again in June this year, we had previously stayed here in June 2006 also. We had a fantastic time again. Met some fantastic people whom we are keeping in contact with. Everyone is so very friendly.
The hotel is spotless, the maids are constantly cleaning everywhere you go and at all times. One point we did find though was that when they cleaned the steps outside the hotel entrance, they didn't always put a sign up and my little girl slipped.
The food was even better than last year although we did find that the main chef took a few days off and the food standard and variety slipped a little, but there was always something to have and it was always very nice. The snacks were ok but not as good as last year although the toastie machine got hammered. They could do with putting more than one toastie machine in the restaurant as sometimes you could wait a while to use it. Breakfast was as lovely as ever with loads of choice and very fresh.
The entertainment was a bit hit and miss but that was down to poor Roni being on his own most of the time and then having to train people up. He did an amazing job though and is a fantastic person.
The reps were brill. My daughter went to the kids club and adored happy hollie and sunshine sarah - thank you girls you will fab!!
If you are thinking of going to this hotel, i would highly recommend it, it is a great place for children and couples alike and very friendly and the staff are great.

all inclusive, was a bit repetative, lovely fresh salads, kids meals were rubbish, fish fingers, burgers and chips.
seaview room a must, fantastic view, rooms were very clean and main areas, steep steps into restaurant which were marble which were not very child friendly.
staff were very helpful, except for one receptionist, she never smiled...

Perhaps with hindsight I probably woul'dnt want to book another holiday during the school holidays. We arrived at the hotel to be told we would have to wait a hour, the wait was well worth it 4th floor overlooking the beach and the inlet stunning.
The room was spacious enough for three of us with a small balcony. To keep your room cooled during the day put a credit sized card into the slot by the door.
The food was samey throughout the 2 weeks, breakfast was probably the best with a lot of choice cereal, pastries, English, continental etc. The only problem was that if you wanted a beer or soft drink you would need to bring one in from the bar.
The hotel was spotless staff were very efficient, bar staff were quite abrupt to start with but you soon got used to ' yes' and 'next'.
The animation girls were fantastic and ended up in the pool practically daily.
First Choice reps amazing Emma and Jolly Jo were brilliant and made my 9 year olds birthday special.
The only downsides to this holiday as I said before this hotel was absolutely full to bursting, space was very limited especially in the evening.
This hotel would not suit folks wanting a quiet getaway this is busy busy busy. I would imagine it would be perfect when the kids are at school.
Secondly there was not a lot for teenagers to do except for taking over the pool for bombing competitions etc...

We stayed in this hotel from 4th to 11th Sept 06. We had a brilliant time and would definitely go back.
The hotel was really nice.
There was always someone cleaning even late in the evenings.
We had a spacious family room with beautiful views from our balcony of the cove and the trees, it was gorgeous, great sitting out at night watching the moon reflecting on the sea.
The food was a bit repetitive but we enjoyed it and so did the children.
My wife turned 30 over there and she was wished a happy birthday by the staff called up on the stage and it really made her day drinking champagne and relaxing.
The entertainment was ok the parrot show wasn't too good but we sat outside most nights.
The kids club was alright but my daughter was disappointed that she couldn't play with the equipment as it was sectioned off, Jo and Emma were fantastic though.
The hotel wasn't too noisy and everything more or less closes down at midnight.
The beach bar next door lowers the music so no problems with noise.
The beach itself is small but beautiful, set in a cove, really nice.
The staff were pleasant, especially the resturant and reception staff, although one girl in the bar could be a bit more friendly.
The pool area was nice as was the pool, the kids pool was great for kids as well.
The downside to the pool was the waterpolo played in the shallow end, many people were struck by a flying ball as it can get aggressive and a football hitting you hurts! I
'd hate to think what could happen if it struck a child! So stay away from the shallow end during this time!!
Overall a brilliant holiday and we would definitely go back to this hotel.

This hotel is brilliant for families, the kids club reps were fantastic keeping both my 7 and 5 year old occupied for the entire holiday, they loved it and it gave us time to ourselves to sunbathe or explore the resort as you did not have to stay at the hotel whilst they were in the club.
The entertainment reps for day time activities were also excellent providing activities for the older children and adults such as football, archery, water polo etc. Every evening they did a kids disco at 8.30 which means you have to eat at 7.30ish but we had no problems getting a table and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate you. We found everywhere spotless and the maids were continually cleaning.
The bar staff were friendly and did not skimp on the drinks, very good measures were poured! We found the food excellent but if you did fancy a change there was an excellent chinese up the road which was very cheap. All in all a very good hotel.

This hotel was spotless the maids did an excellent job keeping everywhere clean and tidy.
The food was OK you never went hungry though towards the end of the fornight it did get a bit repetative.
The hotel was right next to the beach not even a five minute work unfortunatley while we were there it was full of jelly fish but you could still have a paddle.
The staff were brilliant from the maids to the bar staff.
Though the female pool attendant was a bit miserable at times.
The entertainment was ok some night were better than others. There is a lovely Spanish bar just up the road which was very friendly well worth a visit.
I have on 2 minor complaints
1- the rooms are not big enough for a family of four
2- there was not alot for teenager to do at night
but we would go again especially as we made loads of great friends.

Just got back from two weeks at this hotel, great time was had by all. Room 501, great views and lots of space, also very clean, however, can be a bit noisy at night.
Lots of choice of food at every meal time, something for everyone, shame the kids couldn't eat their ice cream outside, you can if you buy one from the bar !
Pool is not suitable for young children (under 8) far too deep at the shallow end, kids pool very small and gets crowded quickly. Tip, it's not just the germans who put the towels out, we brits do it as well, had to be at the pool gate every morning at 0830hrs to get a sunbed, pool doesn't open till 0900hrs !
Kids reps great, shame that there wasn't more slots available, you will have your children with you alot of the time.
Excursions, I would give them a miss, very expensive and you would better off hiring a car.
Yes I would go back.

Just returned after 1 week all inclusive at Cala Blanes and on the whole thoroughly enjoyed it.
Location was perfect with a small but gorgeous cove situated at the bottom of steps from hotel - complete with life guard and 2 bars, it had an edge of dry seaweed but couldn't fault anything else. 2 sunbeds and a parasol was 22 euros - although we often turned up after 3pm and he didn't charge. cleanliness of hotel and surrounding areas was perfect. food was varied and tasty and staff were always observing running low on something so replaced it b4 anyone had to wait. First Choice reps were easily found and infomative of the area. Hotel staff were friendly.
The evening entertainment is what you would expect from a small hotel. The children loved the songs and dancing and adult entertainment began at 10pm with either performing parrots, Karoke or quizes which was all good fun but don't expect any big productions as they don't don't have the space to accomodate it.
BUT!!!!
We won't be going to this hotel again purely because this was the noisiest hotel I have ever been to. Our room (132) was situated on the first floor next to the stairs which was over the reception. DO NOT even think about sleeping until after 1am as every conversation, every footstep and every cough was irratingly heard every single night until everyone had gone to their rooms. Although we mentioned at our 'welcome meeting' that it was incredibly noisy, our rep told us it was a Friday night one off - which actually proved to be wrong. I was aware of others changing rooms because of the same problem but didn't pursue it. I really don't think families with children should be allocated rooms on the first floor as we began to feel relieved we would only have to suffer with extreme tiredness for 7 days.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Cala N Blanes Hotel. We have two children aged 6 and 2.
Just wanted to say we had a great time.
The hotel is clean, the food is lovely and there is always plenty to choose from. All the staff, in particular the restaurant staff, work really hard. The entertainment team are excellent and the kids are fully entertained.
Our 6 year old in particular really enjoyed herself and made lots of friends. She looked forward to the mini disco every night although she only took part in two kids clubs because we couldn't get her out of the pool.
The hotel corridors are noisy - they echo every sound which is a shame, but we still managed to get the children to a have a siesta every afternoon and they were not kept awake by the noise at night. The entertainment finishes at 12 midnight and a lot of people go back to their rooms before this because they have small children.
We were on the first floor in a spacious family room which we were pleased with. The maid service is daily and again is excellent.
The pool area is not huge but we never had problems getting sunbeds in the area between the baby pool and large pool. The pool area is opened at 9am. Any towels placed down before this are removed and placed in reception. I think everyone found this fair.
We would go back to this hotel.
