Location
In our party we had 5 children ranging from 2 years up to a daughter of 15, none of them got bored, the shows and discos were good for the little ones and the games room with internet kept my eldest amused.
The shop on sight has the friendliest staff you will ever meet. Stocked with everything you could need and the prices were good too. The bar staff were friendly and loved the kids and nothing was a problem.
The reps worked hard at keeping everybody entertained and Francesca, the hotel's entertainer, is another story but brilliant! The pool was fantastic!!! The little pool was like getting into a bath!

Towels in apartments were changed every day but that was all. Bar food was not of a great standard. As for entertainment, great if you had children but not for couples.
We were allocated this place as a late deal but not cheap and certainly not the 3* minimum that we had requested. Almost certainly only 2*. On the plus side - nice large pool with smaller one off and safe complex for the children.

Also the waiter service was a case of if they liked you they would serve you if not it was a case of going to the bar yourself not all bar staff were bad just a handfull were a little ignorant.
The hotel location was a good 30min walk to any life so if you have kids take buggies because there is no good entertainment in the apartments.
The cleaners and all the reception staff were very nice and helpfull but unfortunately the reception closes early so if you have a problem its tough.
All I can really say about this place is if you want a very very quiet holiday and to be in bed early and be up early for a good spot around the pool go here.
We spent our first few days around our hotel and the rest of the fortnight in the next door apartments pool due to the volume of people around the pool area and the bad manners of the bar staff.

The apartment are small but do have every thing you need in them just very cramped if you have 4 in a 1 bedroom.
The pool area is large with plenty of sun beds for every one (did'nt stop people putting towels out the night before)and is kept lovely. Pool bar is reasonably priced and food is good and they have kids disco at night and entertainment.
Staff at reception are English and very helpful. All in all good hotel for a 2*

These apartments are very much family orientated, so dont go expecting a quiet time, in a family place, not that it was noisy just kids having fun. We had a studio for two which was clean and plenty big enough, and a lovely balcony with a nice view.
The only moan I had was when we arrived we got our keys and stuff found the apartment block the receptionist knew we was a single parent family I had to lug two suitcases up lots of flights of steps an offer of help would be appreciated but never mind whats the point in moaning about something petty like that.
The pool area was clean and tidy nice kids pool too. Plenty of sunbeds what ever time you went down no problem there and it was half term so I was pleasently suprised. The bar and resturant was good, food was ok and the staff plesant. The evening entertainment was well typical of what you get where ever you go singers ect, but after a large tia maria they seemed just fine.
The hotel shop was very well stocked and had fresh bread every day, prices was resonable. My son only went to the kids club once as he just wanted to go swimming all the time so cant really comment on that, but never heard anyone complaining.
The resort of cala Blanes consists of a hand full of resuarants and pubs it is not a livley place but found a lovely place to eat around the corner called El Pitus food was lovley. You can easily walk to cala forcat about 15 mins, large selection of place to eat and drink there. The buses are easy to use and cheap, bus stop two mins away, you can get all over the island for a few euros.
The beach is 5 mins away it is very small but this had the added advantage of letting my 6 year old wonder up and down and I could always see him, but if you went in july or August I think it would be like sardines down there, and the bloke in charge wanted to charge me 25 euros for two beds and a brolly WHAT!!!!!!! no way am I paying that, so we just put towels down and laid on them. Half of the beds stayed empty all day so if he halved his prices then he would make the same amount of money and have a full beach.
But who cares, we had a lovely holiday and this is the first place I have ever visited that I would consider going back.

All the staff were very helpful, and did everything they could to accommodate any requests we had.
The pool area was always spotless as it was cleaned every night, the prices in the bar and shop were reasonable, and the shop had a good variety of products.
The entertainment was good, but very loud, it can still be heard with the windows and balcony door shut, but no point stressing about things like that when you're on holiday! Vista Blanes is fab, I've already looked into going back next year!

For value for money, i cannot fault this place. We enjoyed it so much, we've booked again for next October for the same purpose.
The Apartments are a little out of the way for the nightlife and restaurants we liked, but we enjoyed the 15 minute walk into Cala'n Forcat anyway. It is located in a quiet residential area and great for peace and relaxtion. The Apartments were basic, but very clean and well equiped for what we needed. The pool area is lovely. Plenty of sunbeds and a great bar/snack bar which served good value lunches and drinks. There is a supermarket on site but we found cheaper ones in Cala n Forcat.
We only stayed in the complex one night to watch the entertainment but enjoyed what we saw.
Because it was the last week in the season in Menorca, we found some brilliant bargains !! We ate out for every meal and found restaurants offering 3 courses for only 6 euros !! No word of a lie ! 6 euros !!! I expected the food to be pretty average but found it was excellent and the menu's changed every night in most places so not to be repetative. I think this was because it was the last week of season and wouldn't expect to pay those prices in peak summer.
We found great drink offers too. Most bars wanted to clear their stock and served Budweiser, Fosters. Guiness etc for 2 euros per pint.Local Beers at 1.5 euros. Sangria was our thing, and averaged 5 euros in most bars. (Best was at cocktails & dreams - top of little shopping mall in Cala'n Forcat)My recommendations for eating out would be: Giovanni Restaurant for value, good food and service.... Ancorra for ambience, value and menu choice..... and Chinese right next to Giovanni for quality of food, menu choice and service.
Some of the attractions and bars closed mid week. The chance you take at this time of year I suppose. However, we still found enough to do and places to eat and drink. This holiday would not suit those looking for full on partying.... it's more your quiet family orientated resort and suited us perfectly!
The reps were great! particulary Tracey (northern lass) Nothing was a problem and being a true geordie, she was really friendly. (Hope to see you again next year kidder !) Reception were helpful. We only had one minor complaint about the sliding doors in room becoming stuck and they promptly sent the maintenance guy to fix it.
We enjoyed good weather and all came back with a tan. I was lucky to spend

Clean and fresh looking with maid service, change of sheets once a week and fresh towels twice a week.
The staff (including shop assistants) are all friendly and speak very good English.
Meals at the bar are very good and reasonable in price. The pool area is clean and safe, and as other reviews have stated no need to rush out with your towels early morning for a sunbed as there are plenty. Supermarket on site is quite expensive (

The pool was clean and fairly large, Kids pool was great and very safe no problems with loungers loads to choose from and plenty of space.
Our apartment was on the ground floor just as we asked and the pool and super market 10 metres away. The room itself is basic but adequate the beds are not very good we stacked ours up and slept with the mattress on the floor. The entertainment was not loud contarary to other reports I've read although there is only one woman entertainer instead of the 2 in the past.
For the price we paid for our 2 weeks I think the place is value for money.

However, this is definitely not the place for a quiet holiday. The 'entertainment' consisted of a very, very loud sound system which we could hear 'Karaoke' on return at 1030pm about 250 metres from the complex. Children were up and about, and naturally, running around at up to 2am. This is not the place for a couple or those wishing to relax. The children staying here obviously enjoyed the pool facilities, which is great, but no good if you wish, as an adult, to swim. So basically, if your idea of holiday enjoyment is to spend the day around the pool, with entertainment for the children and then more entertainment at night on the complex, fine. For couples or those looking to relax you might want to think about somewhere smaller and look at some of the other accomodation in the area or choose an alternative resort. By the way most people staying here were friendly, it just wasn't our thing and we were seduced by a review that said it was quiet and relaxing.
