The reception staff were incredibly rude and disorganised, the pool was so disgusting that most people who used it got ear infections and the floors were so slippery everywhere that I nearly broke my neck on several occasions!

The room numbering made it very difficult to locate rooms and the noise levels of youth staying there was so bad that I couldn't sleep at night.

The only saviour was the Direct holidays childrens club, my son grew very attached to the reps and made loads of friends.

The Hiwaii apartments are located in the Torrenova area which is a large outcrop of rock which seperates the resorts of Palma Nova and Magaluf. It is up a fairly steep incline and may not be suitable for the elderly or infirm. For those with children/ buggies it didn't seem to cause to much bother.

I thought the location was good though as it was a mere 3 mins downhill to the beach or 5 mins uphill (depending on the amount of alcohol consumed before hand!)There are a number of bars and restaurants down the bottom of the hill that serve good food at reasonable prices - the Blue Bar being one in particular to mention. (Idillic views over Palma Nova bay)

As a single traveller I had a studio room on the ground floor very close to reception (Rm 579?) - consequently it was very noisy early in the morning and late in the evening. I would not want to stay in this room again. The maids were efficient and cleaned the room 4 times in the week.

The room itself was basic but sufficient for self catering holdiaymakers, studio style with seperate bathroom and basic cooking/ refridgeration facilities. It did have a nice balcony that directly overlooked the sea and it got the sun for around 3 hrs each day.

The pool area was lively and family orientated with plenty of daily activities. Sunloungers were limited and the did fill up quickly. Much better to go to beach though.

The was a noticable security presence and I would advise all to use the safety deposit boxes, although i heard no complaints of robbery whilst there.

All in all, a pleasant holiday, a reasonable if not a little noisy apartment complex in a fun and lively resort. Would go back to the Hawaii although request a different room.

The Hawaii was really pleasurable to stay in. The room was nice and clean for our arrival and the maids were round 6 out of 7 days (everyone needs a day off). We were advised before the holiday that the towels would only be changed every second day but they were changed everyday.

Only tried the food once. Had burger and chips for lunch from the pool snack bar, was lovely and brought over to our table with a smile. Usually ate out, theres a nice little restaurant down the hill looking over the beach, lovely food and cocktails.

The location is ideal,(not for disabled, or buggies as the hill is quiet steep). It is in a quiet area at the top of the hill but only two mins half way down the hill you are right in the midddle of the magaluf strip. Best of Both Worlds. We went in August so it had got quieter, it might be noisier earlier on in the year.

The reception staff were pleasant on check in and check out. Didn't need to use reception again, as no complaints. The maids were quiet and pleasant. Bar Staff were fine too.

Never went into the evening bar where the entertainment was, so can't comment.

All in all, was a great holiday and would stay in the Hawaii again.

The holiday that I had here was probably the worst I have ever had.

I had problems with the childrens club which in the end they moved to a hotel down the road. There were condoms on the floor. The police were out nearly every night because there was so much trouble, from youngsters when it was in the brochure stated to be a "family friendly hotel".

The pool was dirty and left that way even after being told. One night I had no hot water other times I had no electric.

Then to finish the holiday off I had the safe in my room broken into but there was no sign of a break in or even marks on the safe considering the door was no longer attached, you work out how it was done?

Then the staff would not at first let me use the phone to cancel anything. So all in all I wish I'd have stayed home!

The Hawaii Torrenova was a perfect location as it was a 2 minute walk from the beach which is ideal as we have two young children.

The reception staff seemed nice and polite and so did the cleaners,They changed the towels and straightened the beds everyday.

The room was not very luxurious but it did for us.
The beach was very pleasant and our children liked it. The only problem was the entertainment it was not our style but we went out other nights to other pubs and tried to go to ones that was more quieter for the children.

Our children complained about the music a bit because it went on untill the early hours but it wasnt too bad. I wouldnt mind going there again but it wasnt the best holiday I have had.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and I was devastated when I had to leave. I cried on the way home I was that upset.

The staff were very friendly and helped me with all my needs. The location was fabolous situated on the sea I had an amazing view.

I met plenty of people that were really fit and I couldn't bear to leave them because they were that nice.

The entertainment was incredible I was dancing on the tables every night. I will definately be returning next year.

This aparthotel was worse than diabolical, I can not describe the way I was feeling when I entered the room. It looked like it hadnt been cleaned in years and when I asked the cleaners to come and clean the room they were extremly rude and said **** off. I told the receptionist and she wasnt any better, I just had to get out of this mess.

And for the entertainment all they played was the same songs over and over and it was directly under my apartment. The bar staff were terrible and one tried to grope me. The beach was covered in condoms and there were 14 or 15 year old having sexual intercourse in front of innocent little children and me.

I'd rather stick wasps up my bottom than return there. It was the worst experience of my life.

I wasn't going to leave a review, but after reading comments from others who seem to be here at the same time, I felt I had to.

This is a great an easy place to stay as I have been 4 times in the past. If I fancy travelling to Magaluf I won't stay anywhere else, don't believe all you read.

We visited the Hawaii Apartments in Sep 03. We found the apartments to be very basic but clean. this didnt really bother us as it was only used as a base.

We travelled as two families and managed to get rooms next door to each other, this made it handy for peering over the balconies to see if they were up and ready although this may not be good for those of you who do not know who next door are as you could see right into the room.

The self catering facilities were ok in that we had the basic fridge and two rings to cook on but were sadly lacking in utensils and often had to borrow things off family next door. We had a room that faced out towards the sea and over the pool down below. The noise from outside very late at night and very early in the morning is horrendous due to the surrounding hotels getting deliveries and emptying bottles into bins so sleep is very limited.

The kids club in the hotel was diabolical and tried to charge us for the activities and was run by a lady who was a little over friendly and a bit too touchy feely with the kids for my liking but i think she was going to greece for the next season! Their is also a very small playground for the kids and this is made up of little tikes stuff and a couple of swings.

The hotel pools are absolutely freezing so much so that I couldnt put my feet in it for very long and we had to keep making the kids have 'warm up' breaks.

The splash pool for babies was filthy and in the most shaded part of the hotel grounds so I imagine it was very cold. Ther are no lifeguards on duty and the main pool is very deep so not ideal for kids that like to run around the hotel grounds.

The entertainment in the hotel is rubbish kicking off with the usual kids disco (cha cha slide every 5 minutes!)and then flamenco dancers and the likes the highlight being the bird show with the poor bike riding parrots we did see one that was about to retire and I can honestly say it looked like it had worked every day for the last 60 years poor thing!

The location of the hotel was ideal although up a rather steep hill this makes for a hard slog from the beach when you have to carry inflatables and or push a buggy, we tended to do it in two trips. (thats how close it is!)
We spent most days sitting in Mollys Bar on the beach front and this allowed the kids to play within eyesight on the beach (great for those that cherish valuable uninterupted drinking time!) The other days we walked to magaluf and palma nova.
We aslo visited the waterpark down the road on a couple of occasions.

I really enjoyed the holiday though and would go back but would try and get into the hotel hawaii instead as this looked a lot healthier!
