This is a large apartment block on the seafront in Playa de Palma. The location cannot be faulted and the reception staff are pleasant/friendly BUT we have just returned complete with septic bites from the fleas that infested the squalid room we were given and considering this to be a ruined holiday.
The room was not cleaned for the whole time of our stay. Towels were changed once, linen not changed.
Guests are expected to take rubbish and deposit it in wheelybins on the corridor. This would not be a problem except that they were left unemptied and overflowing for several days, consequently attracting all kinds of flying wildlife.
The buidling desperately needs refurbishment.
Wooden partitions separate the balconies and come complete with carved graffiti, built up over numerous years. Noise reverberates throughout the building and drunks were a frequent feature, sometimes returning at 5.30 a.m. and shouting to friends on other floors/down to the street.
After several enjoyable visits to Playa de Palma and staying in nice hotels, we decided to go self catering fgor a change. What a dreadful mistake this turned out to be. OK, its cheap accomodation, but surely you have a right to expect basic cleanliness even in budget places? A terrible experience and we suggest that travellers think twice before booking here.
I am itching just writing this and remembering the filthy room in this run down, depressing building.
