I stayed at the Fiesta Sahara with six of my mates in August 2003. it was buzzing over there. I loved it. We met a group of young lads over there who were from near where we lived but we never met them before.

We spent our last week with them. I loved it. Our hotel was good. Everyone seemed to get on with each other and I loved it round the pool. Everyone kicked there tunes - it was mint. The staff were friendly.

We had a storm there when I was there it was funny all the trees were blown over everywhere and we used to run back to the hotel at night in the rain and it was heavy. We used to get soaked but it was a giggle.

I would definately go back again xxxxxxxx

I stayed in the fiesta sahara for 2 weeks, it was brilliant. we had a great laugh and met loads of nice people that were all there for a good time. the hotel was clean and the staff friendly. we had such a good holiday last year we are returning this year in june for 2 weeks and cant wait. the entertainment wasnt that great but it was cheap drink in the hotel bar so a few in there was ok. the pool is big and during the day there is never anything to do.

We arrived in the middle of the night and immediately we loved it. It was lovely and clean.

The apartment was lovely. We had a lovely view over the pool.

The staff and reps were really great. Helping you out with all your needs and having a bit of fun with you also.

The location was perfect walking distance to beach, shops etc

Can't wait until next year when we go back again.

This hotel is no good if you want to get some sleep. Five out of seven nights we had to call security to get some peace to sleep.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, the view was of another apartment block and no sunshine got to the balcony.

It was a good location for all amenities. Shame the pool was empty for decoration purposes however we could use the pool in the opposite hotel.

All we can say is if you want to sleep whilst on holiday avoid this hotel.

We found this hotel to be bang on for a group of young lads out for a laugh and somewhere to put your head down.

The pool was cracking and there was plenty of talent always around it.

The reps especially Nick were downs to earth and provided great entertainment 24-7.

The staff of the hotel namely the security guards were constantly on a power trip and considering the brochures write ups about the hotel being for young lively people, they would not let us enjoy ourselves to our full loud potential.

The other holiday makers were generally easy going and up 4 the crack, like ourselves.

I would recommend this hotel to all ya'll and will probably back there myself next year... aiiiii (Hi mum)

Magaluf was my first holiday away with my friends and I loved every minute of it. The fiesta sahara, I thought was excellent the rooms were clean and tidy and maid service was every other day.

The pool was great, really big and was cleaned every night.
The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the main strip which was ideal for stumbling home after you've had one too many.

Only a few complaints, The lifts were dodgy so only use them in an emergency and the security guards seemed quite strict considering the place was meant for young people. You couldnt go out on the balcony at night without the security guards shining their tourch up and shouting at you to go in.

Apart from those minor problems the hotel in the main is excellent for young people who want to have fun, however I would warn older people to steer clear in high season as the it can get quite noisy, especially around 4 or 5 in the morning when people are coming home form the pubs and clubs.

We were put here on alast minute deal.We have a daughter 15 and a son 9.I was disgusted that we were even put in a hotel like this.I love a good time but these teenagers were terrible. My 15 year old was even upset by it all and she is a typical teenager. We complained along with some more couples and were moved promptly thank goodness. I would not recommend this hotel at all.Magaluf is not my ideal holiday destination especially with kids.Even the short time we were there we found it really scruffy. My husband went to the shop early one morning and there were teenagers lying all over the place from the night before.Do not take children to this hotel it is for yonnger ones only

After reading the other reviews about the Sahara I just had to put some comments. I stayed there twice last summer and was very impressed. Having been used to staying in Timeshare accommodation, I thought the apartments were great. With a toaster, Kettle, Cooker etc I would not say this was basic amenities! There was plenty of room for 4 of us to stay with a large balcony to boot. Although us young people do make the noise we have to sleep through it as well which I didnt find to be much of a problem. To be honest in Magaluf what do people expect? The food served at the on site cafe was fine and the staff helpful enough at reception and maintenance etc. Our apartment was cleaned regularly and we had replacement towels etc every few days. The apartments are close to all amenities with all kinds of eateries and nightlife a mere 5 minute walk away! I do agree that these apartments would not be suitable for families during the height of summer because the majority of people staying there are young people but some of the comments made make me wonder if you were definitely staying at the Fiesta Sahara!!!

Had read a number of bad reviews about this place before we left, but found vast majority of them unfounded. There were 8 of us across 2 apts (one 1st floor, one top, 5th). Place was fine. OK, the lifts can be guaranteed to break down at least once a day, so if you are young or old seek a lower floor.

The place isn't a problem. Close to a number of great amenities of all descriptions to suit all age groups. Pool and pool bar, inc snacks etc., good. Place feels safe. Security guards are a visible presence at night, although their effectiveness can be questioned on occasion. The Thomson's reps are fine and helpful, Nick particularly so in our case. However, as with many places, keep your wits about you and be wary. Don't leave doors open at night and take usual precautions as you would at home.

Comments about towels being changed once a week clearly wrong. Maid comes in every other day to change towels, but if you haven't left them in your bath then they won't be changed. Be polite and let them in when they knock - don't just sleep through it and complain afterwards. Bed sheets changed at start of second week. Apts were fine with plenty room for four adults to enjoy themselves or get under each others' noses. Your holiday is as good as you want to make it. Go out there hell bent on enjoying yourself and you will. Take advantage of the many things (bars, discos) to visit!

Do go to Pirates. It's great, the 'adult' version on a wed night expecially. As for bars you are spoilt for choice, but as a pre-disco bar we would thoroughly recommend the STOP bar, next door to Boomerang disco. DJ Leon is tremendous and has the atmosphere great inside the place.

That's my 3rd visit to magalluf in last five years and still enjoy the place, Bananas especially...and I'm 35!

Go there and enjoy yourselves folks...

Can I start by agreeing FULLY with the other comments made on here 29/4/02. We booked a late deal with Thomson hoping for a nice break. At the airport we were greeted by a rep saying that we were off to the Fiesta Sahara. Sounded great ! Got on the coach for the transfer and the driver had no record of needing to stop at the Sahara at all... A slight hiccup maybe. Drove down to Magalluf stopping at all kinds of beautiful hotels, only to get to what I'd class as an ideal youth hostel. We went for all the usual cons that Thomson offer including the in-flight meal additional cost that I STRONGLY recommend that you do not pay !

Our room was EXTREMELY basic, highly vandalised, non clean, no tv, and NOT worth the money we paid.I'd be a lot happier if the hotel was lowered to 1* NOT the current 3* that Thomson give it... I contacted the thomson rep at the desk to report the balcony window was non lockable due to vandalism, we're still waiting for "someone" to come and look at it now !

The restaurant was something else. Imagine putting all your crockery into the dishwasher and it coming out still marked. That's what happens here. Food was of poor quality and lacked inspiration, most dishes were cheap and cheerful, one usually stood out as being a bit more special.

Breakfast was GREASY to the extreme, bacon was literally floating in a bowl of fat !!!

We stayed by comparison in a 3* accomodation in Sa Coma, Majorca in October 2001, and it showed this place up 1000%.

I really cannot stress enough that the points made by the other member about the Sahara are EXACTLY right. The noise tops everything else, people singing VERY LOUDLY in the streets at ALL hours of the night. This place buzzes 24 hours a day and is ONLY suited to young clubbers, the hotel is ideal for them ONLY !!!
