We were very pleased with the choice of hotel, until one night we returned to the hotel, earlier than normal (aprox 3am). We were outraged and upset to find the hotel security guard in one of our rooms. He was crouched down when we entered the room and he had plastic bags on his hands. He was not actually permitted to be in our room and could give no explanation as to why he was in there. Nothing was actually taken from the rooms but a few of our belongings were moved around. We had a safety deposit box, so if we didn

I'd recommend the Hotel Samos and I'd definitely stay there again. The rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels provided every day too.
There was ample choice in the dining area everynight, not much choice for breakfast, but what there was, was all hot.
The hotel staff were very friendley and helpful if you had a problem.
The entertainment was just ok, not brilliant but not bad at all, I'd definatly stay in the hotel again.

As a resort Magaluf is the best!!!
As a hotel the Samos is very good for a 3*.
The hotel entertainment of a night was very poor, which is a shame as the hotels bar prices are very reasonable.
Lots of pubs as soon as you step outside of the hotel complex and of course it is right next door to BCM nightclub (which must be superbly soundproofed, as no noise from inside could be heard).
Not sure about daytime entertainment as we preferred to give the pool and it's ball throwing yobs a miss - off to the magnificent beach for us.
Back to the hotel - it is quite pleasant, with carpeted corridors which cut down on noise from people in the early hours.
However, the carpets absolutely stink of ciggies.
Only 3 lifts for the whole of the hotel and you will soon find these your new pet hate.
We were on the sixth floor and yet walking was the better option as opposed to waiting in line for your turn/waiting for the lifts to respond and travel to your button press......pathetic, pathetic, pathetic!!
Our room was basic, but met our needs.
A great view of BCM square and even a sea view (of sorts) from our balcony.
The air con was a blessing, but no ceiling fan.
Air con is pretty noisy as it actually rattles the wardrobe doors.
You will find yourself lodging pieces of card/paper in between doors trying to keep them quite.
The maid service was top notch, every single day and a change of bed linen once in our 1 week stay. Very impressive.
OK, now on to the food.
I am going to bypass the breakfast as the only edible thing I found was Sugar Puffs (yummy......not!!).
Evening dinner was pretty dire in my honest opinion.
Very very very odd combinations of food would ensure you a hard to time of trying to build yourself a meal up.
On the plus side they did try a bit better with the salad option.
So as a whole, we would often walk into the dinning room, have a look at was on offer, head back out and make our way to the beach at Tom Browns and Happy House and Curusoes (?)
So great location, great resort, good hotel, good rooms, great maid service, lousy hotel entertainment, lousy food, moderate staff and a SUPERB holiday in Magaluf 2006!!!!

We have stayed at the Samos twice now and would definitely stay there again. Hotel clean, well situated, food good and varied, staff were friendly. Pool was a good size but unfortunately did not have a lifeguard.
Entertainment on a night was okay, but we were more keen to venture out and about anyway.

The location of this hotel was the best it could get. It was situated right next to the family bars. I travelled with 2 children aged 13 and 10.
We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday. I would visit this hotel again. The food was good and there was enough choice. The drinks were quite cheap. I dont think there was much entertainment maybe bingo 1 night but we went out every night.
The main fanily bars that are work visiting are 'the benny hill bar' 'del boys bar' and the green parrot.( mainly because the dj is from Middlesbrough and a Boro supporter like me.lol but still a very good night out.
The rooms were clean but quite limited room which is what we expected. The balconys are a decent size. The pool was a good size and the kids enjoyed it. The entertainment team did have day time activites for the children.
The beach is only a short walk away near some suvenier shops.
I would definately visit this hotel again.
