Don't go!
Don't go all inclusive, don't pay for wi fi, but do pay for that sea view.

Best rooms are on the 3rd floor of the hotel. From the middle to right the view is gorgeous. Buy/hire a fan as there's no air conditioning.

Seems to be a resort that has had its day, streets not cleaned, shops boarded up,bars and reataurants deserted.

My Whole family decided to go to Magaluf for New Year, there was 6 adults and 3 children and what a dissapointment.

80% of Magaluf was closed down and not a thing for the kids to do through the day, we struggled to find places to eat and supermarkets were only open certain times in the day.

Thank god we took there dvd players for the kids in the room. We found ourselves walking round Magaluf most days trying to find places that were open to amuse the kids, which was a shame, I mean the adults can entertain themselves with the cheap plonk that's on offer in the supermarkets but if the kids are not happy!

I think Magaluf would be excellant in the summer but unfortunately for us dead at Xmas/Newyear time.

The resort was really nice, gorgeous beach and plenty of shops for all your duty free goods.

Really clean too and even though we went in November there were plenty of pubs for us to go to and they were all good.

We had a fantastic time.

Not much open in low season, but the places that are open, make you feel welcome.

the place was very clean, but we went at the wrong time of the year because it was freezing cold, we had to buy gloves and scarves when we got there, the beach was only five minutes away which would have been great if it was warmer. most of the places were closed there were a few shops open, there was a mcdonalds, pizza hut, burger king and nawab resturant as soon as you step out of the hotel but they were all closed except nawab and it was very nice.

Magalluf and Palma Nova could almost be called one resort and both have great beaches. Magalluf in particular is utterly Brit dominated - can hardly go into a cafe / resaurant without seeing Heinz / HP sauces and signs saying they are British owned and everything is imported from Britain. This said, there are some very nice places to eat for not much money - I would recommend the No.1 China Restaurant in Magalluf - starter and main available for under 7 euros and of a high quality (we went a couple of times) and Las Palmeras, great service and good pizzas.

We went in mid October so all the louts and clubbers had gone home - the remaining PRs didn't know what to do with themselves when met with only couples and families. The weather was excellent - we had sun every day - and I would definitely go again at this time of year. At high season I would go for Palma Nova.

We stayed in the Sol Magalluf Park and it is situated perfectly, close enough to all the lively bars/clubs, but also just out of the way for people who dont like it so busy. Beach was lovely, had plenty of spaces to sit in the day etc.
