Best rooms are on the 3rd floor of the hotel. From the middle to right the view is gorgeous. Buy/hire a fan as there's no air conditioning.

Magaluf is a great place with a nice daytime atmosphere, if a bit tired and run down. It does not look as fresh and clean as other resorts; broken pavements, smelly drains, weeds etc. It is as if the locals have given up and neglect the place because the visitors are so careless.
They seem to cater mostly for people who are only there for the clubs, beer and flat screen football, and want egg and chips with everything. Trying to find a decent meal was quite hard, but we did find a restaurant opposite the Britannia (it has LED lights up the palm trees) which served lovely sea food, and Puerto Rico bar on the beach front was very nice, but it’s expensive - we were six euro for one vodka and fresh orange on the front.
The beach area is beautiful, and our hotel was so terrible we spent most of our time down there, or sitting in other air conditioned hotel receptions!

We were moved at the last minute from Palma Nova which was more geared towards families.
You were hassled by PR's as you walked past every bar, it was like running the gauntlet.
I must say this reort is ideal if you're looking to chill during the day and party all night.
The 2 water parks were great for families with older kids like mine and were easily within walking distance.

Just like Blackpool ( with all the taciness and puke) but with sun - not guaranteed though.
Entertainment seems to focus around getting plastered late at night. Some good tribute acts to be seen in local bars but they start late and there are a lot of drunken rowdies when you get out.
Palma Nova next door is much quieter and more civilised with all the same entertainment. Give that a try.

Magaluf is a very clean resort, the bars are excellent and the beaches are spotlessly clean. There are lots of touts near the bars but they are not too full on!

The Nightlife is fantastic no matter what age you are, there is something there for everyone.
The resort is looking a bit tired and could do with some areas cleaning a bit more.
The beach is great and plenty of activities to keep everyone busy.
All in all we will be back there
Suke

Do not believe all you hear about Magaluf - it is good for families, providing you get the right hotel or apartments.
I have been going there since 2000 when my daughter was 5, my father was 75 and his wife 70, and me 23.
It is great for all ages.
The best places to eat are the english ones around bennyhill eg Tom Browns - cheap and tasty with generous portions.
Shopping is wide and varied but for groceries try to walk a bit for a supermarket, its always cheaper than the one at your hotel.
There is nightlife to suit everyone and everything is within walking distance.
Remember this is a busy resort, so keep a close watch on your valubles and children!

More of a party weekend so i didn't get to see much other than the beach and the strip.
Our nearest beah wasn't the main beach (forget the name but the one between Magaluf beach and Palma beach). Very nice with some good beachside cafes/bars, Katies being our favourite - the best for breakfast/lunch.
Surprisingly some very good places to eat in between all the steakhouses and english breakfast/fish and chip cafes. I think the best (and most expensive) was at the small mexican restaurant just around the corner from Hotel Teix.
The strip is exactly what you expect a very 'Brits abroad' party venue but good fun and we didn't see any trouble. drinks are cheap too, most places offer 2 for 1, free cocktails/shots so we spent alot less than we would on a night back home.
I think i might get bored in a week but our 3 day break was good fun and i'd definitely go back.
