We stopped in a studio apartment on a bed and breakfast basis and found the studio both comfortable and well equiped compared to most, though the carpets did look a bit tatty in parts it was very clean throughout the hotel.
The continental breakfast had excellent choice and was of a high standard, though obviously seemed suited more for the German market there was plenty of coffee, juices, yoghurts and cereals for those that don't fancy pate and cold meats for breakfast.
Staff were on the whole excellent, though the one girl on the bar was over-streched at times as she was also expected to prepare the bar snacks as well as serve drinks.
The downfall however is location for this hotel, it is not within walking distance of anything apart from the Porto Pi Shopping centre and even then you'd have a long uphill return leg, there is a taxi rank close by but anyone wanting to hire a car is going to have serious trouble parking in high season, we went in Decemeber and struggled; come back after 8pm and you have to cruise the streets looking for a space and with most of the roads being one-way it can take a while and mean you end up parking upto a 15 minutes walk from the hotel.
