Porto Colom was so peaceful and quiet.
It isnt lively and has a few bars and restaurants to go to. It also has a couple of night discos for teenagers, but only a few shops.
You can always get the bus to Cala Dor.

The resort was quiet alot of broken glass around and there was no entertainment. The only nice thing about the resort was the beach.

We were expecting lots of things to see and do. Nice walks, sea activities, etc. Not the case. The beach was small but lovely. White sand, clear, warm water. Great for snorkeling. Amazing fish to see. Not much else to do though. The boat trip up the coast was ok E50 for 2 people.
The resort, I'm very sad to say, was very unclean. Rubbish tipped everywhere. Lots of dog mess on the pavements. Lots of unfinished building work and rubble.
The restaurants were few and far between. Most were out of or going out of business due to all-inclusive hotels. Watch what they charge you! We had very bad stomachs after one night out. The resort is quite far from any other area so be sure it's the place you would like to stay at. We will not be returning.

Dont go to the resort if you like nightlife as there is none! I would advise to hire a car if you are going for more than a week as you can see more of the Island as although there is a beach nearby and a few resturants and shops Porto Colom is very small but beautiful!

The resort had dog muck all over the pavements. This also included around the hotel where kids were playing.
The entertainment was basic in this resort to say the least. There were a few bars, and at the most a dozen shops but that covered all the resort.
We were told this resort was quiet but if you like strolling around the shops forget it, and if you like a walk at night then take a flashlight as it gets pitch black even the harbour had no lights.
There was no beach at our hotel because we were on top of cliffs which gave exellent views,so I think one made up for the other there was a beach but it was a good 10 minutes walk.
We have been to all inclusive hotels all over Majorca but this was by far the worst and we will not be going back.

There is a good selection of local restaurants in the port/marina area. The food was excellent, especially the seafood, reasonably priced and good service, except when it was really busy.
For a bigger choice in eating out, Cala D'Or is about 15 minutes' drive to the South.
Our 'local' eatery next to the Apartments in Porto Colom was Bob's Bar and Restaurant, run by Wilma and Robbie, both very friendly and good honest food. No, they didn't pay us to say that!
